+Mind Over Munch i notice when you did the meat and cheese rollups you did two containers of them could one of them go into the freezer. because it would only be good up to a few days in the fridge. and would love to see a video on a meals in single servings and put into the freezer. like food plan for the month in the freezer.

That quiche looks AMAZING. I think I might make that tonight... I'm just getting into meal prep. It really does seem to save so much time during the week. I can come home from work and know that I have a quick healthy meal waiting for me. Thanks for the tips! I'm definitely making that quiche soon.

Meal prep machine! I prefer to "ingredient prep" most of the time cuz making a decision about what finished meal I'm gonna eat at the beginning of the week and actually sticking to it will never work for me so I just try to keep stuff chopped to prepare later.

I LOVE mealprep! It helps keeping all organised and on a budget. With good music it can also be fun! I personnally too do half&half, sometimes 60-40 and it's so helpful!

Loved this!!! I prepped yesterday, I realized chilling veggies and cleaning fruit and other herbs and spices helps me through the week. I also made some soup and salad for lunches. I find more then that I end up wasting. Thanks for the tips Alyssiasheikh!!!

Love meal prepping!! I prep breakfast, lunch and snacks. i have a menu of what's for dinner and shop from that so there is no question on what we will fix.

Great ideas! I used to meal prep different entire meals that I froze but I love your idea of preparing a little bit of everything! More freshness + it makes everything more versatile and simplifies so much more the prep, since you're concentrating on one item at a time (I mean protein, veggies, carbs & fruits). Definitely going to try this strategy out! 😃

I am trying real hard to go without sugar, I was just blown away to find out that my cottage cheese has sugar added to it. So I am realizing that I am eating more hidden sugar than I knew about. I am going to read labels much more carefully in the future. Thank you for opening my eyes.

I'm always the worst at meal prep, but I'm getting better. I usually don't make enough to last me the week and then I end up having to make more during the week but its not too bad. Lovely video as always, I'm loving the background. Happy week to everyone :)!!!

I never thought of the idea of the meat and cheese roll-ups for meal prepping! Fantastic idea. I love that it packs a protein punch with that hummus. I am definitely going to have to add that to my Sunday repertoire. Great video!

Yay! Meal prep videos are my favorite even though I always make excuses and never get around to it. I have 90% of the things you used in the video and some decent substitutes for what I don't have, so this will be the week I get off my butt and prep. I think I already told you I bought all your ebooks as a package deal at one point and kept buying them the second you released them ever since. FOR ANYONE THINKING ABOUT IT, DO IT. That Meal Prep ebook is easily my favorite out of the Mind Over Munch collection - I make at least 5 or 6 of the recipes in it on a regular basis.

Remember, you can modify this to suit your needs, so use whatever recipes you prefer!! +Mind Over Munch I always tell myself that I don't want to prep because I like more variety, but I can see prepping really does make you stay on track. Maybe I'll just plan to prep for shorter periods of time instead of whole weeks since I do tend to have time to cook midweek when I don't have class. I know that graphic design is your first job and you can really tell. ONE DAY I WANT TO HAVE A PHYSICAL BOOK IN MY HAND. I will be first in line to buy it.

Sunday is prep day - I do 'em all, husband makes fun of me but he did tell me he was proud of me!! Can't imagine not meal prepping. It DOES take time, but sooooo worth it!!

I love to do basic meal preps with 1 lb of ground turkey (or wild meat, like venison or buffalo, if you have access) browned up with some basic spices (Canadian Steak seasoning); then use it in lettuce wraps or on a bed of greens with roasted veggies for great salads!

Awesome, as always! I can't wait to try that quiche! One of my favourite ways of meal prepping, is using my cheapo slowcooker. It makes nice stews while I do other things, and I can even prepare food for my omnivore husband, as long as he preps the meat. That's a total win for me! :D I also often make huge batches of cabbage/cruiciferous based salads - most of the time I just toss them with lemon juice, salt, pepper and a bit of olive oil - because they stay tasty so long, and are so filling. Just add a hummus and some pumpkin seeds for serving and both the husband and I are happy campers (the camping bit excluded...altho it WOULD work for camping too! ;)). Another thing that makes lunch time easypeasy is having a jar of roasted, spiced chickpeas (mixed with pumpkin seeds or on their own) to top salads or soups with. Filling and exceptionally yummy - and good source of protein for me. :)

This is so helpful!! Can you do a vlog or something showing how you actually incorporate all the foods you prepped into your every day meals? I always meal prep but end up never eating everything.

I love the speed prep vid! Domestic Geek also just did meals prep and I got great tips from both of you, thanks! So, what you just showed us was meal prep for two? I'm so desperately unoriginal, however, I'm marvelous at borrowing ideas from others and adapting to my own needs. I'm working on meal prep for the week for my fam of five. Storage is my issue. I'm not sure if it's user error or if we just have much in our fridge (from which we mostly eat, pantry items move slowly.)

+Amy Johnson perfect! Yes I love Sara Lynn's meal prep too :) This prep would be for myself and Christian, but it obviously isn't everything we eat - just the basics. Some weeks I prep more veggies and fruit and some less, depends on how much time I want to spend prepping that day :) Meal prep for 5 is tough but not unattainable. Definitely takes some planning out though. Storage for 5 could be a challenge, I have started storing things like I show in this video in large jars rather than portioning everything out and it helps save on storage space :) My eBook also helps with planning out meals :) mindovermunch.com/ebooks Cheers!

Oh my, I just love you, your channel, your personality and all the great videos you make!!! gaaaaah, so so amazing!!! I don't like to eat the same food during the week so when I cook I tend to freeze a lot! ;) But I definitely plan all my meals :D

For me if I were to cook anything a day in advance it might be starch like the rice. But really I'd prop just cut, clean, and season everything days in advance for the fridge, and then cook it that day since reheating it doesn't always come out the same as made that day. I love the tips though!

This girl cracks me up! From here in the UK the prep thing is slowly taking hold, but it's great to have the inside track watching your video.... Thanks. I did the honest thing and went and bought your newbie prep guide. Being a manly man I have to read it in secret. For some reason this whole meal prep, healthy kick start doesn't seem to filter down to the fellas.... not yet anyway. Jars, jars and more jars! I needs to invest ha! How long will fruit and vegetables keep in these. I guess they'll not take up as much room as the plastic tubs (can't spell tuppawear). Thanks again x

Your comment made me smile, thank you! :) So glad you're enjoying the channel and I hope you find the eBook useful, it's my baby :) You don't need jars for storage but I just prefer the glass :) Plastic will work fine too. I usually prep for 4-5 days at a time and most everything lasts. I don't usually cut vegetables for more than 4 days out because they will go bad, but to help keep them fresh I'll store them with a paper towel and a spritz of water. For protein and cooked food, I will freeze it if I know I'm not going to use it in the first 4-5 days :) Cheers!

A little tip for you so that cutting board will not slide everywhere, is to place a clean cloth under it. i usually use my clean wiping cloth and it will not slide. i have never cut my finger that's why the idea of board sliding makes me cringe ^^a Loving your meal prep ideas! i can't eat the same thing every single day too that's why the things i meal prep the most are: 1. Frozen vegetables (so i have options either if i want to steam, or stir-fry, or just boil them before eating) 2. Fruits (that won't need to be in the fridge for a week. Since i'm a student and have to share a single fridge with 15 other kids in a boarding house) like oranges, apples, pear. 3. Condiments (for example i make my own mix for stir fries, or simple dipping sauces for my veggies) i usually don't get to prep my own protein cuz it usually taste not as good so mom packed a full container of chickens depends on the days i won't be getting home. i don't prep rice because i cook rice everyday :)
