@Chuck R Yeah but at the same time, maybe something happened to his game mentality and he’s completely lost it? If that were the case, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking the necessary steps to recover. Sometimes you just have to say “no” and take break.

Matt is a class act. For 21, he is mature and wise beyond his years. The game is in very good hands if more like him are coming through the ranks. As far as his game, GG has done well to harness his natural gifts. Brilliant.

Great video, I took up golf in July and since then I’ve managed to get down to 10 having never played before.... I don’t know if this is right or wrong I take my line from the green and play away from the trouble. I’ve been getting lessons on the regular, I have a swing speed of 112 with a driver and a carry of 280 but I have a high levels of fast twitch muscle fibres and my background is in sports science so I understand the mechanics of a swing, decent with irons but what kills me is 50 yards in, any tips?

Matt is a really cool guy. Also i hope he helps people see, there isn't one way to swing. Teachers today want everyone to swing just like Adam Scott (no shade its a beautiful swing), but that's probably not the best swing for everyone. Take any pro, pause there swing when the lead arm is parallel to the ground in the downswing, they are all in the same position. How they got to that point is completely different.

Could that putting tip help? Maybe for tournaments, but if anyone playing a 10 or higher handicap takes that many looks around a put then they are contributing to the scourge of the game...slow play. Get to your ball and hit it. Play like you’re on the clock.

Indeed that's one area I struggle with getting into practice mode, because before weather turned was playing just about everyday but like anything else if I want to get out of those 80's and see a change have to change my mentality to put in the work, keep the great content coming
