@@duckysguidetoshipping8930 Nahhh didn’t get any blisters luckily, I was wearing fairly decent socks. Did walk around in my friend’s Ugg’s afterwards though. It was also felt like I’d crammed all of the learning experience I’d need for walking in heels into one afternoon! For cheaper outfits, I know this is a common tip but searching around charity shops is always a good idea, since clothes tend to be cheaper there. Another tip would be keeping a good idea in mind what sorts of shapes and details go into a given cosplay, just in case you find a cheap substitute. Sorting by cheapest on websites like EBay is also useful (hence where I got the boots). Belying the white version of a piece of clothing rand dying it rather than spending more money on a specific coloured variant has also been helpful to me. If anything, my main tip would be that “close enough is good enough”. If you’re trying to save cash, try not to spend more than you need to for accuracy, if you get the general vibe done that still works perfectly. For instance, for my Part 3 Dio cosplay, the cheap go-go boots were an alternative to spending way more on replicas of the man’s ridiculous elf shoes. They were golden boots, so I wore golden boots!

part of why my favorite number in Drowsy Chaperone is Toledo Surprise- Kitty ends up facing the wrong way. That's the joke, the character is so stupid they mess up even simple things like facing the right way. It's for laughs not for theatre kids to get angry over.

I was in performance of Turn of The Screw, scary play fun time. Anyway my friend and I’s blocking required us to turn our backs to the audience quite a bit it was weird and I had to get out the habit of always waking sideways so the audience could see me😂
