In this lesson we are going to learn about using 'Meant to', 'Didn't mean to' and 'Never meant to' in day to day speech. We usually use these phrases when we want to apologize to someone or when we want to show remorse.
'Meant to' is usually used to talk about instances where we were unable to do something although we wanted to do that. On the other hand Didn't mean to and never meant to are used to talk about instances where you had done something that you didn't intend to do.

සර්,uncountable and abstract nouns වලට සාමාන්‍ය අවස්ථාවකදී THE භාවිත කරන්න බෑ. එත් සමහර මූලාශ්‍රවල the life,the power,the information වගේ දේවල්වලට භාවිත කරලා තියෙනවා,කිසිම විශේෂත්වයක්, නිශ්චිතබවක් නැති ව.එතකොට අර්ථය හානියක් නැද්ද? නැත්නම් අදාළ අවස්ථාවට අනුව The article එක තැබීම,නොතැබීමට අදාළ ප්‍රබල නීතියක් නැති ද?හැකි නම් ඉවත් කිරීමට හෝ තැබීමට හැකියාව තිබේ ද?ඔබතුමාගේ පිළිතුර මා දැඩි ලෙස විශ්වාස කරනවා සර් (පැහැදිලි පිළිතුරක්බලාපොරොත්තු වෙමි සර්)ex:power went out...The power went out පොතක තිබුනේ සර්..

කෙනෙක්ගෙ ගෙදර ලයිට් ගියා නම් අපිට කියන්න පුලුවන් The power went out. කියලා. (ගෙදර power = specific) Power went out කියන්නත් බැරි කමක් නෑ. ඇත්තම කතාව තමයි countable singular nouns එක්ක articles යෙදීමට වඩා ටිකක් ලිහිල් සහ අපැහැදිලියි සමහර වෙලාවට සමහර uncountable nouns සහ countable plurals එක්ක the යොදනවද zero article යොදනවද කියන එක. අර general සහ specific කතාව එත් අනිවාර්යයෙන් මතක තියා ගන්න.
