Just use a damn string starting from the center of the hub. Cut the string every time it touches anything then take the final string length x2 and that's the tallest tire you can have.

Thank you for the great video, I know I have found the place that will have some answers for me. I 've a 1989 Toyota Celica which came with 13" tires, which seemed to have disapperared from the face of the earth, so what wheel package can I upgrade to, keep in mind I have the famous 4X100 bolt pattern. Second how much will the upgrade cost and what is the availability of it. Are deep dish wheels a thing of the past as well? Thank you once again.

I am trying to add some 15x7 on my Silverado its an 01 but the caliper clearance is well ass cuz the caliper touches would anything happen if i grind down the caliper just for it to fit one side slides in but one side doesnt

I have a 2011 Kia Sorento with 41mm offset, 17-7 rims, 235/65r/17. I would like to replace the factory rims with a set of Lexus rims, offset 30mm, 18-8. Both wheels have 5-115 bolt patterns. Can this be done? Thanks.

I wanna put 33/12.50/17 tires on my truck but dont want them too rub ... do I need a offset on them or will they still work as long as I still use a 17 inch rim or will it require a wider rim.thx

I have a 2016 Ford Explorer and want to go from the OEM 255/50R20 to a wider tire like 275/50R20 or something wider. What's the widest without having to change my wheel package. Will this work? Will this effect MPG or speedometer reading?

Can I put 195/55R/15 tires and 15x6 wheels on a car that is made with 195/60R/14 stock tires and 14x5 steel wheels. Could I just take the 14" tires and wheel off of the car and slip the 15" tire and wheel on or would I need any other items to make it fit? Sorry I'm only 18 and still learning about cars.

Hello thank you for info, unfortunately I've already put bigger Wheels on my car now they seem to be working out okay and driving fine but the back wheels seem to be tilted slightly in words at the top very very subtly but I've noticed it is this okay and safe? Thank you for your time

I would like to thank you for the video. I have 2016 Honda Accord Coupe. I have aftermarket wheels ( 18×8 38 offset with a 245 40 18 tire). I'm going to use H&R springs which will be a 1.3 drop. I want to know is a 225 45 18 tire ok to run on a 18x8 wheel? Thank you.

im just trying to see how much i can do , and spacers i herd can ruin your suspension if raceing bc im about to auto cross in a 87 IROC-Z. frount rim 10 back is a 10.5 wide and hightis 17 f and back is 18

Hi there. I currently have 265 width and 22 inch rims on my lexus rx 330. I was wondering what the largest size I could fit on the rear without modification. I was willing to do some modification to accommodate 315-335 mm tires in the rear. Please help

chillinxxpaki69, Once you determine the tire brand that you will use, check their website for dimensions. Armed with that data and a tape measure, go out to the car and see just how much modification will be necessary and if you want to go that far. Most likely you will need to contact a body shop for the modifications!

Please help me guys. I have a Toyota corolla 2005 and OEM rims for this car is 15x6.5 and bolt pattern is 5x100. I found the rims for my car but i don't know if this rims will fit I found rims 15x6.5 and have a 5 lugs but i don't know (seller doesn't know too) diameter maybe 100 maybe 114 and offset for my OEM rims is 45 but this rims have +36 offset will it fit for my car? P.S. New rims name is "Enkei ZNL Type 40"

I drive a 2003 kia enterprise ceo and i have on them 225/45R18 am thinking of changing the tires to a 235/50R18 tires due to the bad road condition but i dont know if the car can handle that.

Iv'e got a 1977 Thunderbird that has the original wheels and hub caps. I was wanting to know how wide of a rim and tire that would fit without rubbing issues or throwing the speedometer off, staying with 15 in diameter but wanting the deep dish look with a classic slot, centerline or torque thrust wheel. Thanks, any info would be appreciated.

Daniel Young, Because you want to maintain the OE wheel diameter of 15 inch, you’ll have to keep using a 4 inch (factory) backspacing on the front for proper clearance to the tie rods and control arms. On the back though, get out the tape measure and measure from the face of the brake drum in to the first point of contact like a leaf spring, shock or frame rail. Subtract 1.5” for sidewall bulge on the tire and some clearance, and this will be the backspace measurement you can use on the rear. This approximate of course but will give you a starting point.

Hi Kerryann Dyer, For a proper foot print Dunlop requires a rim width from 7 - 8 inches wide and an 18” diameter.

I'm surprised with today's technology that you can just type in your tire size and get the wheel sizes aside from a 6-8 lug nut which is the easy part. But instead pull tires off whip out a tape measure. Seems like alot of work for a measurement. The whole measurement thing is confusing on a rim compared to a tire being put on the rim.
