If evaluation is end product, What is formative evaluation? If assessment is on going only, what is summative assessment? Till 2015, we used only the term "evaluation" and it had functions like guidance, diagnosis and remediation, motivation etc. Which are formative in nature and functions like classification and placement, norm setting etc which are summative in nature. Assessment is the term coined in Calicut university b.ed syllabus in 2015. Formative and summative assessment is also there.

Yes 👍 I think your question has been answered by you itself... We need to learn the difference between evaluation and assessment according to calicut university syllabus . The differences that I found out through my study is being presented here , and it is true to the best of my knowledge. Thank you for the comment ❤️
