#DidYouKnow: For a long time, people believed atoms were the fundamental "uncuttable" unit of matter. While atoms are the building blocks of elements, that can be divided into still smaller particles. Also, nuclear fission and nuclear decay can break atoms into smaller atoms. ✅To learn more about Atoms and molecules, enroll in our full course now: infinitylearn.com/cbse-fullcourse?KZfaq&DME&KuyB-445gQM To cover all concepts related to Chemistry visit our playlist here: bit.ly/Chemistry_DMYT

Wait but how does someone go about finding one single carbon-12? How did the original dudes know how much atoms they were weighing? Literally how was this done??? I need to know!!!

The explanation was perfect! We got to know that mass of atoms are measured relatively to mass of carbon-12 atom But my question is: How did we measure the mass of a single atom of carbon-12

We didn't, We took the mass of carbon 12 atom as 12 ' 'units' or amu or these days the IUPAC calls it only u(unified mass)
@deeppandey5654
@deeppandey5654 3 жыл бұрын
@@muktatelang587 but we can get the actual mass of one atom?let me tell u let that we take 14 g of nitrogen acc to mole concept no. of atoms/ions/molecules=given mass/molar mass x Avogadro constant,,right? so,--atoms present in 14 g of nitrogen =14g/14g x avogadro no. ---so it means that 14 g of N has 6.022x10 >23 atoms,,,,if 6.022x10>23 atoms weighs 14g,,then mass of one atom qould be 6.022x10>23/14??am i right? :))))
