So pumped to see this series back! Any meateater content is good but the Phelps series wasn’t cutting it for me because I’ve never been out west let alone hunted elk. I love getting to watch these guys chase big white tails, considering I can’t get one in front me personally (I don’t really know what the hell I’m doing) but at least this gives me that little bit of hope for the season, even if it’s false hope lol

😆 As a Western Oregon hunter getting ready for elk season to start in three day so I can try to call in a bull for my bowhunting buddy, Phelp's series is the bee's knees for me. Sure is fun to watch these midwest and eastern whitetail hunts though, something I'll probably never do. MeatEater makes the best hunting content for all fo us, no matter the passion. Good luck for your season. Hope the wait doesn't feel too long.a, ha!

@@D_Boone I get that part but at the same time at some point the deer would of picked his head up & grunting at him put the deer on alert. Also in my experience every Time I stop a deer in the heat of the moment I always feel like I need to rush the shot so if I let my opportunity happen naturally & placement is more accurate.

What’s funny is that every single person associated with meat eater will tell you that you don’t need technology or their camo to hunt. If you worked for a company that gave you unlimited hunting gear you would probably take advantage of that. I don’t understand y’all that shit on Steve and meat eater. A lot of people have gotten into the sport because of meat eater. Y’all act like other hunting shows aren’t constantly advertising gear. For as long as I can remember every hunting show on tv has been 90% commercials and 10% actual hunting. You can feel all high and mighty because you’ve hunted with the same bow your daddy used in 1965 and still use that same old deer stand made from 2x4s and an old camp chair but to assume that meat eater is telling anyone they can’t hunt without their gear or that these guys can’t hunt without fancy gear is ridiculous. We get it, you’re the most badass hunter on the planet.
