I love your your extremely informative videos, but I especially love your commentary. I share your trapping mentality and reasons; it's for those same reasons I recently gained the interest myself. Thank you for your instructional videos and God bless you for your patriotism. “The duty of a patriot is to protect his country from its government.” - Edward Abbey

back during the last recession mortgage melt down. I had lost two multi million dollar businesses. I lost my wife at the time as well along with her executive income. I went from living in a gated in a lake front home, with with private armed guards to living out of my car with my two kids. . Your videos helped me so much. I was able to finally find a cheap home in the middle of no place that had three beaver ponds within walking distance. I fed my children well with little cost. In fact, as you know, not only was i feeding my family well back then, your videos helped be get to the point people pay me to trap unwanted animals. Your PATREON channel, and your ideas in that channel helped me prepare for all of this mess this time. I will never be able to repay you for what you have done for my family. God Bless You AND your family and keep you safe Meat Trapper !!!!!!!

Meat trapper, im a veteran, a life long hunter and fisherman, and as of about 8 years ago, a trapper. Just recently (last few months) I started really using KZfaq and found you and Clint Locklear's videos. Even though I learned to trap from a family friend that is an excellent trapper, I have learned a lot from you and from Clint. I have always thought as you do, it would come to this point and it will get worse eventually. And I have felt people like us will have to provide for those we care about in hard times. Thank you for your videos, your good information, and keep it all coming. God bless Sir.

my first set of 330's were two dukes. I would go bananas trying to get the spring arms out. I later bought a dozen belise and first time I used ONE of them. I went home and threw away the dukes. I Have not tried the Bridger conibear. But every single one of my footholds are bridgers and I love them. I have bridger #2, #3, and 1.5. They have never failed me.

Hey Tim, Parrot Bill here, when I graduated to ADC Trapper, I'm now Tally Beaverman. You & Clint are the best teachers. As far as I know, I'm the only trapper in the area who gets all the beaver out the first time. Working mostly with snares, "The Secret Weapon" (you showed us) and Footholds. This year I got in with the pulpwood growers, and about to invest in a few Bodygrip Traps. This video helped me pick out the one to get started with. Thanks

I think you for every video you have put out. I have learned more from you and Brian at Southern Snares than any where else on the internet. It has helped me build a small business of dealing with nuisance wildlife. I like the fact you dont sugar coat anything, you speak your mind, and you are straight to the point. Keep up the awesome work you do.

really have enjoyed ALL of your videos. I just started trapping beaver 2 months ago for a farmer that lets me hunt his property and was having problems with beavers plugging up his ditches. I went to my local ACE hardware and bought 2 Duke 330. I watched several of your videos as well as 330 maniac videos. I learned so much from both of you, thank you so much! This comment is for anyone looking to get started and is looking to buy body grip traps on a budget. I caught 11 beaver with my Dukes and never considered there was a better trap. they work great! I did end up buying 2 more dozen Dukes, and I also bought a dozen Bridger 330 and they are definitely a better trap, but they are a couple dollars more then the dukes. In my opinion going cheap on body grip traps is ok, its a good place to save money. spend your money on good foothold traps. I'm up to 26 beaver in the past 2 months and I cant believe how yummy they are. The steam boat has been my favorite so far. Thanks again Tim, God Bless

I have only purchased a couple of Duke’s and was looking to get more for this next season but after watching this I will definitely be getting Bridger. Again thanks.

Nice comparison. I've fought with a few dukes. Haven't tried belisle yet, but i will. My personal go to brand at the moment is Bridger. I've put pounds of beaver meat in the freezer this year thanks to your videos. My traps, especially long springs, were the first thing that went on lockdown when they tried to tell me i had to be on lockdown. Keep it up Tim. Love the patreon content. The self reliance trapping series is worth the money by itself.

I'm with you about using quality stuff, I like belisle and victor for conibears, MB and victor for footholds. That said, I have plenty of Duke and bridger traps too, and they catch animals, but they require more tuning and modifications to make them what a guy really wants them to be, and the springs don't hold their strength near as long

Something I've noticed: when there is a downturn in the economy, people are lined up at local gunshops, selling their guns to the proprietor--I know, because I've been one of the people in that line at various times in my life. Fortunately, I had "core" weapons that I wouldn't sell regardless of circumstances, but I wondered after a time if that wasn't the reason for "manipulation" of the economy...

No doubt the Bridger is the best entry level trap there is. I prefer snares better, but there is a much slower learning curve with snares, and a steel trap will produce as soon as you learn to set them. The main reason I like snares best is in Florida you can't use any form of steel traps on public land, but you can use a unlimited amount of snares, so that's what I learned on, thanks to you.

I've been only following for a short time..BUT I have enjoyed and backed your views. I too am interested in trapping for the FOOD. My view on poaching is...if you can't afford to buy it to feed your family..hunt/trap it. If you're out "shooting up" the woods for fun/trophies..that's illegal and wrong. Here in Washington State, we can't fish (commercial or recreational), dig clams, or hunt. Our access to waters have bin closed. But, I can still take a walk in the woods...just without a weapon.
