Behind the scenes of our factory of the future! Fuselage Automated Upright Build (FAUB) is a partnership of automation and manual work to assemble the forward and aft sections of the 777 fuselage. Teams load and set the panels, then the robots are moved in to help install thousands of fasteners to connect the sections. Mechanics are able to move the robots and massive parts around on automated guided vehicles (AGVs). That mobility and flexibility will allow FAUB to help manufacture all 777 models, including the upcoming 777X. Learn more: bit.ly/777FAUB

So a couple of Harvard types comes in and ran the math on how a few million green backs investment now can save much more in the stretch. And oh, never mind that a few average Joes lost their jobs. Well done Boeing.
