I love it! A tip: Instead of making the 1 bit adder ("half adder") with 2 AND-gates, 1 OR-gate and 1 NOT-gate, you could create it with just 1 AND-gate and 1 XOR-gate.

and how do you think xor is made ? .. :D Out of a nand and or that are anded or 2 nors one and etc ... :D

What's And xor gate?

Ethan Priore exclusive or. 1 1 -> 0 0 1 -> 1 1 0 -> 1 0 0 -> 0 In a sense, if only one value is true, an xor outputs true

If you were going to make this bigger, into an actual computer, you'd need a way to amplify the signal. You wouldn't be able to actuate 100 gates by transmitting all the force through the first like that.

Lol the and-gate is exactly same i ''invented'' at school by my own.. What a shame but nice to see it in actual work.

Is there any way you can mention what materials and the amount I need to make this. I am planning to do it with my 10 year old son. He is been trying to use anything he sees in the house but it is not working.
@dominator00114 жыл бұрын
Hello, lovely Idea, I would recommend starting with a smaller version to give it a try, e.g. 1 bit. So you d'ont need too many material. The dimension of the whole adder is 1x1m, perhaps you may make it smaller. Good luck!

Its really impressive,okay,but you can also make it more simple with a marble machine... 2023 edit: Really impressive creation! I don't know why I wrote it in a rude sounding way, back in 2019.

bro then that would be a marble adder, this aint aiming for that

@@webbycroissant5692 well kinda does, if you look up "marble adder", you find tons of videos and stuff And with marble adders, you are using gravity to do the work, with this you are pushing it
