These classic broadheads keep filling freezers and putting up wall hangers.

Nice quick test! Love Swhackers, ive used 1 Swhacker for 2 kills before. Its still in mint condition, but i just retired it for Goodluck. Lol I can take it off my Euro Mount and reuse if i have to! Great vid, keep it up!

I have actually took multiple deer with all of these. Worst to best in overall durability Nap Killzone,Rage NC.Swhacker. Best blood trail worst to best Swhacker, then Nap killzone&Rage a tie

I shoot Swhackers. I shot a deer last season and got a pass through at 32yds. The arrow hit the femur and literally shattered it. The shot was a little low and back disemboweling the deer. Those Swhackers are insane. I shoot a Barnett XP400 crossbow btw. I can't shoot a compound because like you, I have a bad shoulder. I would like to get a low poundage traditional bow and mess around in the back yard though. Thanks for the video sir.

Other than this test I had not shot a swhacker. You are amongst many that have told me they wouldn’t shoot anything else and other positive comments. I have a broadhead I have tested (Exact Archery) I want and need to finish a review on then I may let a swhacker fly. Thank you for sharing

The old razor back 5's in the orange case . My pops used them back in day late 70 early 80s. Wasnt mechanical ,spin on stem instead being thread in and clocked in one spot.

Mechanical broadheads are interesting in testing, but I could never take anything less than a hybrid into the field for my own piece of mind

Same I’m sure there is a 99 percent success rate of mechanicals opening properly and all but I’m the guy that will have the one percent failure rate of the head working properly. So why chance it. Lol

@@groundrootsoutdoors627 I take 6 or more deer a season and I have never had a mechanical fail to deploy. When you hear people blaming the mechanical broadhead for not opening its because they are pisspoor shots and didn't hit vitals.

there aint much to a deer scapula, i never worry about it. you can see when you butcher it and pull the meat off that its very thin and flexible. i wouldnt call it a bone, more like cartilage then it turns into humorous bone below it . i feel the regular 1.75" swhacker is as close to perfect as a broadhead can get. i have killed a few deer and a turkey with them the past couple years, all pass throughs and burried deep in the dirt, everything died with-in my eyesight. all the swhackers still spin true and got resharpened and are back in my quiver.

Thank you for sharing. My only experience with a mechanical was the G5 MegaMeats and didn’t get a pass through. But I’m not done yet. Lol

I have had Rages and Ramcats lose blades in that thin scapula. I no longer will shoot anything with a blade that can be removed and prefer 2 blade heads that I can resharpen. If the Native Indians could do it with a basic stick and string bow, we can do it with our higher poundage bows, carbon arrows, mechanical releases and sign pins.

@groundrootsoutdoors627 Some of the arrow heads I have found afylter hundreds of years in the dirt are still sharp. There is no reason to doubt the simple design of a two blade head. Montec 3 blades are as complex as I care to use.

@@tray22 I like the Magnus line. But I have yet to have any issues with ramcat. I love the ramcat but I understand the trust in a Broadhead or lack of trust. Mechanical won’t find a place in my quiver until someone can prove to me there dependability. Good info.

Why don't you just shoot a crossbow and that way you wouldn't have to worry about your bad shoulder

Sorry it took me a bit to get back with you. After this hunting season I am going to make the move to a crossbow for a few reasons but I really hate letting go of my compound and recurve.

You know I felt the same way at first I'd use the compound pretty much for over 30 years but me being a truck driver when they brought in the crossbows that was a great thing for me because I'm not home to be able to practice like I should with a compound bow so the crossbow was really great for me to be able to still get into the woods and be able to bow hunt
