These are the kind of people we should let into the US. Very skilled, and take pride in their work. They could have a good business doing rebuilds. A good rebuild is almost as good or as good as a new one. Also, they could use gloves to protect their hands and get shoes too :)

No...just absolute great apprentices that unlike so called apprentices over here in the West...turn up to work everyday and on time listen look and obey every word that is said...don't ask stupid dumb questions and aren't on their cell phones every ten minutes.

it's a vacuum pump for brakes.

What is that last piece that is mount on, that alternator is cooled? I see metal pipes (cut), but still? Wow, first time that y see a liquid cooled alternator

Some cars with turbos have a vacuum pump on the alternator to power the brakes as there is no natural intake vacuum. A bit scary.

Diodes, tripler diode pack, internal regulator, rotor resistance,new berings, didn't put in new brushes and springs or Turn the rotor contact rings. This is junk!

That is a 12volt diesel alternater and the pump is to create vacuum for the brake booster.

It is at most a 12 volt, 100 amp alternator. Definitely not a 2.5kv generator. Plus they didn’t repair a thing, just did useless steps like wire brushing the case. Rewinding the stator is usually a waste of time. Most of the problems are with the brushes and diodes and regulator, which they did nothing about.

Here in Australia all the old farts who E Auto electric all they do is buy second parts from the scrap yard put a coat of paint and sticke saye reconditioned

I enjoyed the video, but doubt the claims and the reliability of the result. That's new enameled copper wire, typically about 750g -1000g per alternator. Here in the U.S. the wire would cost $20 wholesale, while the scape value of the old copper would be $3-4. The spread might be smaller there, but it's not $1. Copper windings are usually terminated by friction welding at the slip rings and crimping to the diode plate, not soldering. Solder won't hold up to the temperature and vibration.
