So I have watched the both the lectures. The explanation was awesome. The only missing part is poisson's ratio and potential energy density. ~Poisson's ratio is the ratio of lateral strain to longitudinal strain in a stretched wire ~energy density is the potential energy per unit volume therefore Energy density=1/2×stress ×strain

Let me explain the relationship between stress and strain in more detail: Stress: Stress is defined as force per unit area and is represented by the formula: Stress = Force/ Area Strain: Strain is a measure of deformation representing the displacement between particles in a body in the direction of applied force. It is a dimensionless quantity and is often expressed as a ratio or a percentage change in length. In many materials, especially in the linear elastic region (where Hooke's law applies), stress and strain are indeed directly proportional. This means that if you apply a force to a material, it will deform, and the amount of deformation (strain) is directly proportional to the applied force (stress), given a constant material property known as the modulus of elasticity or Young's modulus. Mathematically, this relationship is expressed as: Stress = Young’s Modulus × Strain In this linear range, stress and strain have a linear relationship, and they are directly proportional. However, it's important to note that this proportionality only holds up to a certain point. Every material has a limit beyond which it will deform plastically or even break, and the relationship between stress and strain can become nonlinear in these cases. Therefore, while stress and strain can be directly proportional in certain conditions (specifically within the material's elastic limit), it's not accurate to say that they are always directly proportional to each other. The relationship between stress and strain depends on the material properties and the conditions of the applied force.
