@@khushboojha781Have you checked out the math sorcerers channel? I’m taking a class on Udemy by him. He gives a ton of examples and goes over them step by step but he doesn’t always tell you why he does something slightly different. Was still worth the Black Friday sale. But he gives a ton of great books on his channel for math! Some of them will no doubt help you out. I’m trying to get good at math as well for the math prior to medical school like calc

Hi Zain. I think that u are awesome. I am a senior doctor who has been studying for the American board of internal medicine. I simply use ai perplexity by downloading either self made mind maps or lecture notes or excerpts from books. This app markedly decreases cognitive load. I use prompts and ask for summaries or generate flash cards or generate terms or diagrams or generate clinical scenarios. After doing all this my retention is great(active recall). I then publish this thread into notability or iBooks or kindle pdf. Final manifestation of Notes are a book like presentation. No more taking voluminous notes. No more anxiety

@shreyasprasad42737 ай бұрын
Bruh followed your mindmap technique to break down the content in the way I'd most likely wanna try to understand the text,the one where we pickout keywords randomly and try to relate one to another , The result : failed my General Anatomy class test , PS I wouldn't go to the extent of blaming you, (huge respect to your content btw !) But I see this as a testament of being very cautious in experimenting with study skills It'd be great if you could let me know where I could refer to get my basics on learning how to learn right
@zain_asif7 ай бұрын
Im sorry to hear your test didnt go well man but mindmapping is only the first step to the process before u study your usual way. Just allows the rest of ur studying to be more fluid and deeper ie doesnt act as a replacement study technique. So we'd still have to do the usual flashcards or questions for anatomy for example. Hope that helped let me know, we're all a team here just trynna improve and be better at the end of the day.

To build a good learning method foundation, you need a lot of times even a year, not just for an exam. This is not a tip or trick, you need to build that system yourself with self-regulation, experience and slowly changing your current methods.
@somtochukwuonyeka40607 ай бұрын
Sending you virtual hugs. It's sad that you failed your test but don't let it keep you down. That was just a bump in the entire beautiful journey to come. For me, mind maps can't replace my actual notes. I use them to introduce myself to any topic I'm learning, and to do quick final revisions of those topics. Between these two points, I still have my notes and active recall questions. I know most Ytubers say linear notes are terrible. If they work, don't remove them completely. Just learn how to incorporate them more effectively. I also take tests by solving questions from the textbook or past papers. Mindmaps are just one element, and you need to figure out how to make them work for you.
