In honor of my 20k subscribers this video is a tribute to the medieval fantasy movies and series that are most important to me. This video also includes films that do not take place in a fantasy medieval universe, but still have similar themes. I tried to show both the glory and the violence of war, hoping you liked it!

This was one of the Best Short Movies i‘ve ever seen. Every single one of these movies has changed my life forever. Some of them took me months or years to accept the truth that I’ll never see a sequel with the same actors (GoT, ect). You my friend are a true artist!!

Greek who’s been reading the Iliad since I was 5 years old, I could never picture anyone better. He’s a little older than Achilles in the story, but he embodied him pretty much exactly like he was in the story, from looks, to mannerisms, to fighting prowess. There hasn’t been a better version since and I doubt there will be in the years to come.

@@professoriron7475 Well, every war is the result of someone not agreeing to the current state of peace that exists, either by craving something someone else has (like land, resources, money, etc.) or by disagreeing with how that peace was established or why it exists, and so on. So yeah, war is always about peace

Millions upon millions dead through the course of history because of differences such as race and religion, conquering was the way the world was shaped, but when you zoom out and see the destruction of human life it took to get to this, it is truly heart breaking.

warfare in those times was more fair than modern warfare. back then it was more about fighting skill and real strategic knowledge , there were no sudden victories at the push of a button, no unskilled person could just squeeze a trigger and kill a trained soldier etc. thats just my opinion

@@MsBetke Actually, the vast majority of people involved in war did not have that much skill. Your average infantrymen has immensely more battle skill than the vast majority of past soldiers. War was a number of things, but it's always been farmers killing farmers for a thug offering "protection." The thug just grows up into governments.
