A coronary angiogram is a procedure that uses X-ray imaging to see your heart's blood vessels. Coronary angiograms are part of a general group of procedures known as heart (cardiac) catheterization.
Heart catheterization procedures can both diagnose and treat heart and blood vessel conditions. A coronary angiogram, which can help diagnose heart conditions, is the most common type of heart catheterization procedure.
During a coronary angiogram, a type of dye that's visible by an X-ray machine is injected into the blood vessels of your heart. The X-ray machine rapidly takes a series of images (angiograms), offering a detailed look at the inside of your blood vessels. If necessary, your doctor can perform procedures such as an angioplasty during your coronary angiogram.

I had this surgery over 3 years ago and it saved my life( I was zapped 5 times until they got my heart beating again) Our doctors and nurses are God’s Angels…..thanks again for saving my life! X

@@karthikat9150 yes it has side effects, there is a wire being pushed through your veins to heart which is a engine of our body, and a dye is released to find if there are blocks, other wise it's not possible find the exact place in the heart where there are blocks, more over there is life risk 2 percent are allergic to this dye which will not get dissolved and will face kidney problems and will die...

Sow Akh there is much better technique then angiography in India..but Dr dnt recommend that bcoz of money purpose Ct coronary is a technique parallel with angiogram no any application is required

Thank you for showing this video. I hope the patient recovered well and stays healthy. I had the procedure done this week but it was through my femoral artery. I had no blockage neither. There was mild thickening in my right coronary artery (10%). Today I am home and resting.

Yesterday night my dady took for angiogram scan, he got 60% blockage. Dr prescribed medications and medical management... pray his block with resolve over medications. Nothing will happened.

I’m 33, 5’9, 165 lbs and relatively healthy.. A CT scan showed 40% blockage so I had this done and it was actually a tear in my left coronary artery, with medication and a healthy diet it will resolve itself

Satish, I was just recently diagnosed with a 50% blockage of my LAD artery which is the artery that supplies 50% of the blood to the heart. After extensive research, I discovered that a stent is only effective if the blockage is greater than 70%. If your father starts an exercise regimen along with a low carb, low saturated fat diet and statin therapy, he can halt the progression of the blockage.

I had to have this operation done, & the doctors did a wonderful job. The procedure went well & no blockages were found near my heart, so everything was a success.
