My thought: mediation is confrontational as are many things in life. I'm older, I'm retired and have nothing to lose. Stalling tactics and being obtuse in situations like a mediation only strengthen my resolve. I've worked my entire life and all I have left is free time. Keep that in mind if you're an attorney or adjuster going forward.

I’m being forced into court ordered mediation in 3 weeks for a small claims diminished value case. They’re making me pay $400 just for the privilege! Well I have no intention of settling. My case is solid and my documentation is above reproach. I’m looking forward to humiliating the insurance company in front of a jury. So at mediation they can either pay me what they owe or we can go to trial. I’m not coming down

I have a mediation later this month for a bus accident I was in back in November 2020. I’ve been waiting over 3 years for this day. This video has given me good information on what will happen during mediation since my attorney didn’t explain what is going to happen during mediation very well to me.

As I prepare our case against the POA who has grievously harmed us with poison I feel somewhat empowered by these informational videos. I learned here something I didn't know, that, the insurance adjuster must refuse five times before a settlement. Id rather have an attorney help us but no attorney will. They all want the huge class action suits. Neither of us, in our 70's, have knowledge of the law. Maybe when we show our serious symptoms and damages from toxic poisonings, we might have an argument they will listen to? We had to sell our beautiful $900K home to and go to a rental to escape the sprayings. If anyone out there has suggestions, we will gratefully receive.

21:00 Excellent video. However, I firmly believe there must be a time limit on the mediation. I would say it depends. It doesn’t have to take long. Prepare documentation prior to showing up and prior to being on the clock. Recommend making 3 lists: 1) what I want; 2) what is negotiable; 3) what is absolutely nonnegotiable. Obviously, the money 💰 on the clock is not an issue to the attorneys. It IS for the clients. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks for this video! I never engage in mediation in a serious injury cases until discovery is completed, There is a firm trial date, and dispositive motions have come and gone if there is some prospect out there of it. I also only do agree private mediations and don’t want time wasted (defendant’s lawyer had to call me beforehand and have a good faith discussions and he had to tell me the numbers he’s recommending to his client to make sure it’s not a waste). Just my take anyway.

In a civil suit with my former employer, big corporate. Nearly two years on this case. But my attorney has so much evidence and validated points that she wasn't done with one of the depositions on the many employers she's depositioning this pass Friday 4. Now my mediation is on the 9th next week. My attorney still haven't finished Friday depo and has 1 to go. If no settlement trial August 4 for sexual harassment, quid quo pro, sexual assault, sexual battery, retaliation, wrongful termination, gender discrimination and more. Gosh I hope this settles because after getting fired I'm in my car and need to get a home to sleep in. I was nervous but this video helped calm them.

After being struck by a drunk driver, in DC while picking up a Lyft customer, in 2020 and undergoing more than 20 surgeries after 19 months and having more surgeries coming ahead, it is a good idea to go to the mediation ? Or a trial will help much more better when it comes to settlement.

I have multiple crimes that have been committed against me. 1. Car accident (May 2005) + car vandalism, hit by flat bed truck, (May 2005) and almost hit by plow (Town of Monroe, 2011) almost hit by white van in the City of Hartford when walking off of the bus this past summer 2021, attacked at a bus terminal in Newington, CT -May 2021, and Connecticut State Police covered it up (this seems to be an ongoing problem over the course of the last 15+ years ) 2. Sexual Harassment(2007/2020-2022/harassment-2008-2009, 2010-2022/employment two faulty firings (2009/2011) - Denial of employment/college entrances (2012-2017) 3. Harassment- false diagnosis- Hartford Healthcare ..HEP C (2011-2012) 4. The worst case-my infant daughter - Miya Jane Justeson, death/medical malpractice, wrongful death 2007, Bayfront Medical/ All Children's Hospital. 5. Cell phone and internet hacking ( invasion of privacy-roommate in Canton,CT and others, blocking employment, blocked housing, causing isolation with INTENT-Tort Law) (Difficult to tell when it started...roughly 2010-2022) 6. Landlord/tenant/roommate violations (illegal entries in locked rented apartments/rented room) -destruction/theft of property, sexual harassment, food tampering, psychological abuse (gaslighting, manipulation, lies, scheming, deceit (1999-2022-intermittent, but ongoing) 7. Other crimes/abuses- 1979-2004, 2004-2022 I appreciate this video, and thank you for posting this ! I need those who were involved in the systematic destruction of my infant daughter's and my life, to be arrested and sued ! #arrests #lawsuit There have been HUMAN, 8th Amendment, and TORT LAW violations (Defamation of Character, Negligence, Emotional distress inflicted with INTENT, Malfeasance) and a laundry list of other crimes to financially, psychologically and physically destroy my infant daughter, in addition to, myself ! Well I filed for my apartment building class action in May and they finally got it in August but at the end of August my lawyer stopped communicating with me the night before the first settlement court date or mediation I was texting my lawyer he didn't tell me anything he was ignoring me then I found out that it was a court date for the first one August 29th and he never told me nothing and I went to The Courts and told everything and now he's getting mad at me because I told on him and I'm on my third court date of the mediation for the class action settlement which I'm on there with somebody else I have to find out the case number and everything by myself actually the third court date going to be on Zoom November 15th next week and I don't know what's going on my lease is up at the end of this month so they're not going to renew it so I have to find a new apartment in December and he just my lawyer's just not talking to me right and he's putting it on me like I'm going to lose the case cuz I keep talking to the courts but he's doing things and not communicating with me so I don't know if the settlement go wait till I get out the apartment at a settlement because it's for the two years I've been here and my lease is actually up at the end of this month so I don't know what's going on

If it were me I would prefer to settle if it wasn't an insulting low-ball offer and can speed up the process of a full payment to amend what happened.

Mediation point by whom? Why my mediation take my money and stand for the other landlord side. He did not listening to my point building landlord lie and many building violation he said if I don't settle I will lose the case.

You were just talking about they have a team and we have a team if someone from the other team wants to talk PRIVATELY with your lawyer you can bet your ass that the adjuster is offering the lawyer money to talk their client into settling 😂 the fact that you couldn't explain it says a lot ....THERE SHOULD NEVER BE A TIME WHEN YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR LAWYER SPEAKING PRIVATELY WITH THE MEDIATOR PERIOD
