Now this is a really cool concept for a game. A doctor simulator, but playing as a combat medic in a war zone of what looks like WW2. I also think it’s cool how you get see how a soldier’s wounds were treated back then.

Medic Pacific War is an upcoming small indie game, where you take the role of a combat medic, carrying soldiers to safety while avoiding fire from enemy soldiers/planes, and treating their specific injuries accordingly. There is also a timing element, some times you have to assess who is more likely to survive and chose who to leave behind. Keep in mind some of the game’s gore has been edited out for KZfaq. I was an early Kickstarter backer, its not a huge game, nor does it have amazing graphics, but I thought it was a decent effort to dive in a very interesting concept, that has lots of potential in the future. I can easily see this sort of gameplay getting polished and combined with more advanced stealth mechanics, and a more atmospheric environment and intense story telling (like in the movie Hacksaw Ridge) in a future game. Bro the green filter for the blood just makes it look like the wounds already infected or you're trying to heal a zombie

You did everything right with the last wounded man, and you did not overtreat him in any way. You treated the wounds, dressed them, anaesthetised the patient, and then when you realised that the bleeding continued, you applied tourniquets and evacuated the fighter from the battlefield. Very good game, and you're a good player.

This looks like a really intresting game. Playing as a medic in WW2 and WW1 trying to save the lives of wounded soldiers

Not only do i think this is a cool concept for a game, but if FPS developers take inspiration by this game, lead to cooler or more realistic healing animation in the future.

I like how the wounded when being bandaged chooses to give you a very small opera session as like a thanks.

I really can’t imagine how painful and weird it would be when a bandage gauge is stuffed into your wound.

This game is rlly cool but i feel like it REQUIRES animation blending and simple cloth deformation Like, id expect a tourniquet to actually tighten around the leg and pants instead of just go in circles and get replaced by a static model

It's a little bit fucked up that we can show videos of people's heads popping like overfed mosquitos, but in a video of HEALING people, you can't show the wounds. Also, man that guy in the beginning must've been thirsty to drink all that orange juice! Mm looks tasty!

I think games like battlefield should make healing animations like these, maybe you get shot in the arm then you or a medic has to treat that wound or you die, and the medic is more efficient at healing that a non-medic

Hey! Neat video, the concept of this game is really cool. I'm just gonna hijack this for a sec to say: tourniquets should be used as a *last resort only.* if applied correctly, they will cut off blood circulation and usually result in loss of limb. Keep on doing what you're doing, man!

I know this is nitpicky, but these aren’t soldiers and the title of your character won’t be “medic”. The Pacific Theater was fought by Marines and their “medics” are called Hospital Corpsman, or just corpsman for short. Still looks like a cool game though!
