The Shona word "Chifumuro" means literally the "exposer", reflecting the fact that this important medicinal plant is often used by traditional healers to help expose the cause of an illness. Highly pharmaceutically active, the roots of Dicoma anomala have been documented in traditional use to treat at least 66 different diseases, making it a genuine panacea. Modern science bears this out with many different medicinally useful compounds found in the plant. An essential part of any African herbal medicine cabinet!
