Perfect for me with 4 rejections. Gap year 2 here we go. (Update 2021 a 4th year medic now) Don't let rejections get to you guys. With hard work you will be rewarded. If you want to study medicine you will!

I am on my 2nd gap year just had my only Interview which I think I may have messed up the second part. I applied for the first time this year, if I use it well do you think it would be possible to take a third gap year then apply again as a home student this time (I was an international student this year)?

I’m a bit confused as to how to make the most of your gap ‘year’ and talk about what you’ve done if I technically only have a couple of months before I reapply ? As I have more time after applying than I do before ? :/

Ali Abdaal Please make an A-level revision video. Biology is the most confusing, I just read and do any and all questions for practice.

Hey Ali, thank you so much for your videos. I have one offer which is not my first choice. I'm thinking of re applying so I can be closer to home. In the long run do you think the university you go to is important when applying for specialist training posts? Your videos have been so insightful x

I'm in the no offer club!! mainly cos my mum didn't let me apply strategically and she signed me up for the BMAT and told me like a week before it was happening so i did no preparation. I ended up applying to oxford, imperial, SGUL and Anglia Ruskin. I wanted to apply to SGUL, Plymouth and then hull York, Exeter or edge hill, its quite frustrating and if don't get a place in clearing then she gonna make me study in Ukraine and transfer over, which I really don't wanna do but i don't really have a choice. I wanna screammmm cos i tell her that or else she'd just say i'm blaming her [BTW im jus venting, but if anyone has any tips to convince her to let me me take a gap year or do biomedical science and reapply pls relpy!]

sorry all a bit late but unless you genuinely want to study in ukraine, don't go there. its 6 whole years of your life which your mum quite frankly doesnt have the right to decide how you spend. don't bother with biomedical science either if you still want to do medicine: just get a job in the NHS and reapply in 2022. and don't let your mum have access to your ucas either because she has no right to make the final say on your options. hope this helps

Hi Ali, I wanted to ask you about the medical work experience. I've been searching for them but they are quite expensive for only one week. Some organisation such as " GAP MEDICS " or " Medical projects ". The thing is I am a international student but I'm doing my A-level here in England and I thought It would be difficult for me to work on a care home or hospice.

Hi Lina Sifi , Excuse me , but I just want to ask you some questions hopefully that you answer me : 1- is it possible for any international student to get medical school without A-levels ? if s/he has already completed her/his high school or even his college ? 2- how could any international student apply to take A-levels, and where ? 3- could we make a friendship since I'm also interesting in medical school in UK and I would like to make a friend like Ali and you and anyone who may be interested in Medical school especially in UK . I'm sorry if I'm asking here without any previous introduction. Also, I would like to Thanks Ali again not only because his vedios and tips that He has given us but also because he helps people who are interested in Medical school like regardsless any limit. 移民ファルコン Hi, First of all, no it is not possible to study medicine without having an A level or an IB ( international baccalaureate). You can take your A-level here in England, there are loads of international schools (I'm studying at Ef academy). I don't think taking the IB in your country and applying for medicine can be an option but I need to check that. If you need any information, I am here to answer your questions.

Hi Lina Sifi , Thanks for replying, what's about taking SAT and SAT subjects such Biology, Chemistry, and Physics ? do those Tests replace A-levels for Applying to medical school in UK ?
