Great review, D! I saw a hip mod video yesterday that gives Manta the articulation a big improvement. Dremel tool and a spot of super glue is all it takes.

I just bought the Mattel Black Manta. Sculpt wise they look almost the same, except of course this one is better at everything else. Black Manta's design is one of my favorites ever in comics. It's just effortlessly cool, and I think the movie did him justice (every costume in that movie is awesome). I'd love to get this at some point but I don't earn enough money to collect imports. Beautiful figure, tho. Thanks for the review.

First video of yours I’ve seen, I like the format, the backdrop is sick and the detailed articulation and posing was good too. The size comparisons from different companies was cool too, I know how he scales with Marvel Legends now. Also your photos at the end were awesome, keen to see how you go with this new recording style.

such a cool design and care for the details on this figure. Very easy for it to go under the radar with the other bigger name characters being released by Mafex, so this review should help people.

I am not sure if it was the camera being a little out of focus or that the figure is mostly black, but it seemed like he was out of focus for most of the initial showing of the figure and made it a little harder to see the details, as in previous videos. Still a good video and great figure! Keep it up!

the lack of split on a $100 figure is inexcusable. Mine also came right out of the box with a completely separated torso. But that’s Mafex for you. Yet I keep going back.

This looks awesome. I’ve always liked how odd Blackmanta’s helmet looked.

The black and red really work on this figure. Very nice. Reminds me of the Snake Eyes Classified figure. The only thing that could probably make it better is if the eyes actually light up, which should not be hard to do with current LED technologies -missed opportunity. But otherwise, a very good figure.

It seriously took forever for this release but finally! It looks so gorgeous! Just a shame he don't the ability for his legs to go outward. 😭oh well, I'll definitely settle for this over nothing.

Okay thoughts on the new set up, Camera is great. Mic I would turn up the volume on yourself as you’re a bit quiet. Another thing it sounds like anything not going directly into the mic you almost can’t hear. The crash barely made a noise and when you moved away to grab the DC Collectibles Manta your voice almost completely went away. I would say if you can raise the volume on your voice and remember to speak directly into the mic at all times it will be good to go
