You can choose to follow the main chapters, solve the questlines or just roam around and explore the vast medieval world - but be careful as wolves or bears may try to take a bite from you... Begin with the simplest things for your own survival like hunting and farming as well as building yourself a home. Found a family and have a heir - entice others to live near and work for you, erect many other buildings to transform your settlement into a vibrant village and, ultimately, a thriving dynasty that will reign for generations.

I built my Village on the south end of the second bridge west of Gostovia. It has everything you need. Access to water, access to the other side of the river, it is centrally located between most of the relevant settlements, has plenty of trees, straw, flat land, hunting, clay, and it's a short run to the mines north of Brancia. You'll have to clear a bunch of trees to make room, so be sure to build a workshop and get yourself a wooden shovel as soon as possible.

Edit: i build it right on start of the game , and use the fast home way by unstuck thing. Another MEGA HUGE flat open space is a little far right next to Rolnica. Is gonna be a little hard on begin because of the long road to Gostovia but again you can use UNSTUCK option to teleport faster. But again that flat plain is uber huge and i made there a huge 10 Houses + 5 fields+ rest of the buildings in a nice organise village, and still i did cover only like 10% of entire flat field.

Try west of Gostovia (east from your 2nd spot) near the bridge that connects to the northern part and leads to Baranica - loads of flat space there, plus water and you are close to Gostovia as well (the main quests take you there many times so you have to run to it fairly often). Nice vid, enjoyed the tips!

For now until horses are added the best spot is directly on the spawn point so you can use unstuck as a fast travel option. If you want flat go west from the spawn point one sprint distance away. But you can build right on the spawn point (I have a storage building there) it just takes a little more effort to be able to place buildings. After horses the best spot IMO is north of Baranica and west of the northern mine.

First spot only has birch trees, very inefficient to start your journey Second spot i recommend (start where the maple trees end coming from gostovia) , central, large flat area where you can squeeze in 30+ buildings easily and add more fields than you will ever need (300 in my current game and could easily add another 700), 2 clay deposits within 1 rush, 2 mines not too far, option to hunt every animal in proximity, etc. And as a final tip: build a storage next to the bridge between gostovia and borowo, gives access to 6 traders for a potential 24k income per year.

I build a village east of gastovia. Right at the bridge that crosses the river. I did residencies and industry on the gastovia side of the bridge and then did agriculture and fishing with some residencies on the other side. It was cool but inconvenient for travelling to the western villages. Ultimately I settled across from the island west of gastovia.

Your third and final location is really close to where I set up. I set up East of Hornica on the Eastern shore of the lake. There are deer, fix and wiscent there, however my village expansion seems to have destroyed their spawn points. The river that shoots off of the lake down to the South East leads strait to a mine and bear spawn on the South side of that stream close to the lake itself. The stream that shoots off to the North of the lake leads to a clay pit. This location provides plenty of wood, nearby hunting to the North, a mine, clay, water, and plenty of flat land for crops (once you use your shovel to remove stumps).

I am set up roughly near position 2. It has loads of flat, a forrest with dear and boar close by (and boar, fox and wisent on the other side of the river) and a huge reed patch on the river bank. everything you need with both Gostovia and Denica roughly 500 meters away.

I prefer the more difficult and scenic areas to start a village. Way down on the south of the map in the mountains is my favourite zone. Built up on the mountain one time. Build next to a waterfall another time. It wasn't the most efficient at all, but it was beautiful

I also see the huge potential of your first (current) location when I travel to Lesnica. Definitely will build there on my next game. Your third location tough, it doesn't have any source of straw I think,

straw can be gathered from wheat, rye, flax. when you start farming it gets easy.

One thing to note about the location near Hornica is that (unless my game is bugged or it has changed in an update) there is no reeds/straw anywhere nearby that I can find. I ran around the entire lake and down some of the streams and had to end up going back to Gostovia.

Straw is a non-issue as you can carry more than enough at any one time.

my village is on the east side of that lake in the 3ed place you mention right where you were is clay and on the southern side of that lake up the path a bit is a cave for mining. that the only place i have found that has had clay and a mine. :P grate spot

Meh. You'll run out of storage quickly, so build warehouses in key locations. ...they magically share resources, so you can access the same goods no matter where you are.

site next to hornica is great because it is next to a mine with a ton of iron.

I built on the lake in the middle between Gostovia, Denica, and Jezerica. There is enough uneven land that larger buildings like resource storage was a pain, but other buildings were easy enough so far.

Where did you put larger stuff? Because I got stuck on resource storage building and restarted because I could build it anywhere near my house.

@@noblej7897 there is a road along the south side of the lake with a split off road going closer to the shore. I built my larger buildings next to the main road, and my houses and smaller buildings further in the forest to the shore. My fields and barn are on the south side of the road outside of the forest.

Ah. I had someone tell me how to make a shovel to clear stumps. And got resource storage next to my lake house in the first season. Had to make a workshop.

@@Silverbakk by the way, i have found a new location which you havent mention on the video, the area is quite big and it can place more than 20 building in there, if you like i can show you the location, its very perfect for woods, farming and fishing as well

@@Silverbakk ok, the location i found is the most perfectly spot for hunting, fishing and farming as well as you can place as much you want to see fit. the location i found is near gostovia, its near the first location you said, but its place to the right direction, open your map and you will see a huge delta of green field, near it there is a stream that lead to big river. from that stream, you follow the map until you have met the cross road which is lead to gostovia town.

I was thinking it´s a shame you can not build allot if the terrain is not even I mean if you look how some of the villages that are already in the game you can see how they build them on high ground like Rolencia. I found a place I wanted to build on not from Gostovia like maybe 500-700 meter to the west side of Gostovia. But problem as you say it´s not allot of flat lands maybe you can place 6-8 buildings down mostly you need to build them in like a straight line almost next to each other. But the reason I found it to be a nice location is well there is like a clay pit there so I was thinking build my village not far from that claypit because I can imagine clay becoming something you will use allot of pottery and such.

I started my village on south of Baranica on the bank of the big river, just on the right side of the small stream. A lot of flat space, plenty of reeds, two small villages nearby and a cave. Woods with lots of game are to the left and to the right. Trip to Gostovia requires some time though.

I built mine south of your first location with the first house by the hill. Seem to be a lot of birch trees, maybe 50-75 yards to the water and reeds. and close walk to two towns.

I really need help. I want to build my village at the second position. But is there everything to build a village and to live ? Or are the first or the third positions better ?

Brayl yes there is everything you need there for the most part, plenty of space, a forest next door, the lake for fish, water and straw and more and it’s closer to gostovia. I hope that helps but if not let me know

Brayl I like the first or the second, they are both great locations. The third is more of a “I want something different and for hunting”. More than anything I’d recommend planning out how your buildings are positioned and more like “here will be my living quarters, here is my farming, here are the shops, etc” plan for 10 buildings ahead

Brayl absolutely it’s a great choice. The island is a cool option and if we can build bridges down the road that would be awesome. Especially considering they are introducing bandits and stuff soon😁 glad you made a decision though

I posted this a reply to a comment here, but I'll post it here too so it can be of use to more people. You can build an excavation shed and mine near those resources, just build food and resource storages there with it. Along with houses for the workers. You do not need to build your main village there. They will go work the mines and pits without having to walk far because of their house is right there, they can access your food and firewood from their own storages and they'll deposit into them as well. The food and resources storages is kind of like a map wide bank. Same resources will be in each one. The only problem with doing this, is your building limit. :) Maybe it will help you though You will not need to put workers in those storages, only in your main village one. Like tiny single purpose outposts, the storages will link them to your main village. At least until it is changed.

What about clay and stone? I was considering the second location, but after a quick run I didn't saw them close by. I already built several buildings close to Gostovia, but i will perhaps relocate...

@@commanderclueless5456 Thanks, there is also salt and iron to consider. Iron & salt cave is south of Lestnica and between Gostovia & Hornica. I know about the clay and stone next to Gostovia.

More or less have everything except bear Year 6 still lvl 1 at hunting, my people can get up to 50 raw meats a day or more, I have to decrease it or else lots of putrid
