Great goalkeeping on both ends. How Wadsworth beat Medina is beyond me

Wadsworth got a PK, Medina outshot them something like 20-2 and just couldn't put one in the net that day. It happens it soccer. Medina demolished them 6-0 in the playoffs.

@@joesemus754 regardless of how Wadsworth got a goal or how many shots Medina had, the final outcome still shocks me

@@user-hs5kk4dt2g No doubt, it was an anomaly. But that occasionally happens in soccer. The rematch shows what a fluke it was.

Fantastic HS game. Great job by referee and crew. Ignatius had the better of it in the first half and was more dangerous, though the Medina keeper and D held tight. Second half was very even and could have gone either way with both teams creating about the same number of opportunities and with great saves by both keepers. In the end it was an extremely well taken goal by the Ignatius player that made the difference. The way he took the ball down with his chest and scored was high quality stuff.

Medina played to direct , they didn’t make the adjustments that were necessary. They werent moving off the ball into open space that well, which makes them easy to defend especially long balls with straight runs on them , they had a hard time connecting with the intermediate passes. If they could knock it around and play 1 and 2 touch that would have created more space and opportunity. They had a good defensive effort. Nonetheless they both are good teams.

Great effort from Medina’s keeper, could have been 6-0

I think Medina made some good adjustments after being on their back foot in the first half. They really held their own in the second half. I thought the second half was very even and could have gone to either team. Extremely well taken goal by the Ignatius player. The way he took the ball down with his chest and scored was high quality stuff.

Cuz they win every playoff game until they meet each other in the Final Four every year

I’ll give you a better answer than the lousy answer given by the creator of the video. St Ignatius for the past god knows how many years has dominated Ohio soccer by stacking there team with talent because they are a private school and can recruit. Therefore, almost all public teams in Ohio can not compete with them because they do not have the same opportunity of recruiting players. As for Medina they are one of the bigger cities population wise in Ohio. They in hence have a lot of kids to choose from and also have a stellar coaching program from youth up and a great group of seniors that have done a huge load of carrying the past four years.

@@talknicetojett6173 It's not really about players, it's about the coaching. Any team in Ohio or any soccer team in general can compete with the proper coaching and training.

I think the question may be why they play in the semis and not the finals? Over the last few years they are probably the best two teams in the state. Due to being from northern Ohio their regions usually meet at the final four
