Thank you that was really very good information. I’m happy more Drs and people are talking about celiac disease. I think it’s because more and more people are being diagnosed. I was 65 when I was diagnosed, I know of a lady who was diagnosed at 80. I feel for babies and kids who have this disease 😞 that must be so very hard.

Thank you for letting us know about this! If left untreated, coeliac disease results in pale, loose, or greasy stools (steatorrhoea), as well as weight loss or inability to gain weight. Other symptoms that aren't related to the intestine may appear over time or in organs that aren't related to the intestine. It's also common to have coeliac disease and not show all of the typical symptoms.

naturally, oats are gluten free. They are only considered unsafe if they were contaminated with gluten. Oats with Gluten Free label from a reputable source should be fine:)

I believe that’s right, I don’t touch oats, because of the cross contamination. I do miss eating porridge in winter. I’ve tried rice porridge, it’s awful to say the least.

Nyc..moreover since there is villous blunting but also crypt hyperplasia ,so thickness of mucosa remains same..n its the igA which goes to dermal paplilla and reacts with endomyseal ag on dermal papillae leading to formation of dermatitis herpatoformis...one more thing,to check whether patient has this dermatitis due to celeac disease,we give dapsone..if patient responds to dapsone within hours,then dx is made..note:if patient is igA deficient,then ab seen will be igG type

Mam my sister is also suffering from this disease, but there is one problem One doctor says that she should take gluten free diets, and another doctor says that she should avoid the use of milk So mam please suggest me that what should we do Mam if you allow then I can saw you, her Andoscopy and Bioscopy report Mam please if you read this , then don't ignore it ,please reply me mam I will wait for your answer

usually, there is lactose intolerance with celiac disease so need to avoid lactose also. SO both the doc are right. Need to take care of infections and need vaccination, as the spleen functions is not good. And monitor complications, if the problem is solved with dietary restriction it is fine, if not need treatment for resistance cases.

I’ve had celiac disease for 15 years now, I was 65 I’ve now find I’m lactose intolerant. I can eat a very small amount, and get away with it, ( sometimes ) However GF ice cream is a definite no no for me, it’s not unusual for people with celiac disease to become lactose intolerant. It may also work the other way around, lactose intolerant then you may developed CD, I don’t know 🤔
