in Psychiatry we give Tab Amitryptyline 10 mg initial dose with Tab Naxdom 250 or 500 mg Sos . Most of the patient reports improvement.

Sir ek question tha....beta blockers causes vasodilation...so why it is given in migraine...coz migraine me to vasodilation hi hota hai

Uvais siddiqui, thank you for sharing your query. Beta 2 receptors are sympathetic receptors present on vessels responsible for vasodilation. These receptors are blocked by propranolol. Therefore cause vasoconstriction.

Flunarizine can be used for prophylaxis only. It cannot be used to abort acute attack. 😊
