Medora North Dakota - Scoria Pit Dispersed Camping area will be our first real boondocking experience. We have stayed in parking lots and spent 2 weeks in a state park with a bunch of volunteers once but this will be a different experience for us. This is remote boondocking on public lands near Medora North Dakota, home of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We were so happy here. Scoria Pit Dispersed Camping area was pristine. Thank you to all the previous campers who visited Scoria Pit Dispersed Camping for taking the time to keep this beautiful area clean. While here, we explored Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the Petrified Forest in the park. We also took in the sights of Medora, a little town formally known as Little Missouri.

Nice to see the area again! I stayed there just about two years ago and was the only one out there. Wind was crazy that Spring but the ground was dry and the Park was awesome.

Just found your channel and enjoyed this video. Just want to mention when you're boondocking it's important to rodent proof your camper and towed vehicle as mice will get in both looking for food but also chew on wires under the hood of both. Leave hoods open and if ppossible have lights on all night to keep them away. Chewed wires can quickly ruin the experience. I look forward to more videos.

Hi John. Thanks for subscribing and thanks so much for the helpful suggestions. We do put Grandpa Gus’s cinna-mint packets under the hood. We don’t know for sure if they work but so far we haven’t had a problem. Popping the hood is a great idea though, thanks. Safe travels to you.
