Medtronic plans to release a wearable insulin pump by acquiring a South Korean company called EO Flow. It plans to incorporate its 780g algorithm to the patch pump. The EO Flow pump is already available outside the US - it's waterproof, lasts 3.5 days, and holds up to 200 units. Plans for a 7-day pod were announced in Nov 2022.

Omnipod only needs 80 units as well. If you look at the fill line on the syringe it’s lower than the 100 mark.

I would love to have a tubeless pump with 300 units, if it would really works till the end of 3 or better 7 days!

The omnipod does NOT need 100 units to activate it.I'm shocked you don't know that. I use the minimum and that is 85 units. I only use 45 to 50 over a 3 day period. It would be great to have a pump like this that lasts 7 days and has a large reservior. I would be happy to have it be a bit bigger if that is necessary.

I’m being considered for an insulin pump in November and have been looking at Omnipod because I want a tubeless system. The 3 day life of the pump is its main drawback for me and I really like the idea that I could have one lasting for a week. I guess that’s not going to be available in the UK this year and I’ll have to go with Omnipod but I’m looking forward anyhow to fewer injections.

I'd love a 300U tubeless pump, however I use omnipod currently and I'm not sure if I want a pump 20% something bigger than the Omnipod for 7 days. If it was the same size as now id do it in a heartbeat.

When it comes to 7 days I’d worry more about creating scar tissue build up? Also My T1D 4yr old sometimes has sensitivity when her omnipod is worn for the full 3 days

Do you have the CGM sensor inside of you currently? I inquired to the company and all I got back was that my insurance doesn't cover it. My insurance is paying for my Medtronic system though. My endocrinologist said he's not involved with that device. He said Omnipod customer service is horrible. I told him I think I want something better than Medtronic, maybe the newest Dexcom with??? Seems like every device/company has fans and critics which is to be expected I guess!

I am using the Medtronic MiniMed 670G. I just want to find out what tubeless pump is out there that is good. I hate my pump with the cord. It gets wrapped around a lot of doorknobs and other things and rips off of me 😡

Omnipod is your best bet at the moment depending where you are. If you're in Canada it's your only choice. If you're outside Canada you'll have more to choose from. I've been on Omnipod for 10 years and it changed my life. I could never use tubing.

Well, given that it is recommended tht you wear a CGM and a pump at least 3 inches apart from each other, I don't see how that's going to be possible. The distance is to stop issues with the CGM being in the same place that insulin is dispensed. That is surely going to upset the accuracy.

I've been on omnipod for a year pretty good but I don't trust it's calculations. I did the X2 for about 3 or 4 years best algorithm but they have software issues that they are not addressing the Medtronic only lasted 3 months Guardian sensor was awful I'm ready for a new pump but they all suck four different reasons

@diabe_tech Now that Medtronic and Tandem are entering the tubeless insulin pump market with Omnipod, will there be any competition for Medtronic's InPen smart insulin pen market by competitors? To my knowledge Medtronic has that particular technology cornered when they acquired Companion Medical's technology.
