Sinner has stamina issue ever since French Open. In this match Sinner began to struggle in set 2, worsen in set 3, better in set 4 while Medvedev touched physical bottom. No flag for Medvedev. But Wimbledon had no problem when the USA and the UK invaded Iraq!
@kirrausanov14 күн бұрын
I hoped, that this year WTA/ATP/ITF, would stop this nonsense of mixing sport with politics. Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth. Appointing "flag police" at tennis tournaments is not even childish... it was embarrassing and insane... Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen. Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag? USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and yet their flag was still allowed at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa despite the fact they were still in Iraq. Either ban ALL flags of countries who go to war, or don't ban any of them. Interestingly enough Israeli tennis players Mika Buchnik and Guy Sasson are allowed to play under the national flag in AO 2024 despite the policy of their government towards Palestinians in Gaza. *** All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others.

For those who want to say Sinner was injured, stop. Sinner being gassed and feeling dizzy in the 3rd set is not an injury, he just couldn't handle the intensity of the match. The first two sets he was fine physically and he also won the 4th set. This isn't the first time this happened. Last year vs Zverev, he had cramps, Alcaraz was moving him around side to side at Roland Garros, and Medvedev did the same thing today against Alcaraz. Sinner clearly hates running so much. He's the type of player where he likes to be in full control and not constantly running so much. This is why he is not better than Alcaraz. Sinner is 6-8 in 5 set matches while Alcaraz is 12-1, which tells me Alcaraz has superior physical conditioning

I am surprised. Wimbledon video editors have learned to make highlights longer than 3 minutes 🗿

As soon as I heard something happened to Kalinskaya, I knew Sinner's level would drop.

Sinner spent too much time watching Kalinskaya lose, no time to practice!

Daniil can still run Jannik around ragged and exhausted like the old days. So there's still a match-up issue for Sinner there from a physicality standpoint, and even Daniil said it himself that apart from one of those past 5 straight losses, they were competitive matches and half of them where he was on fumes after a long season last year. The rest of it was purely mental and belief in the important moments which he lacked. That combined with Sinner's improvements to hang tough with his game and stamina, this is very much an even match-up. As close to 50-50 as it gets, despite their strange periodically lopsided run of match wins in their head-to-head record.

Some of reality for Sinner fans, just to come down a bit.
