Female Saints bring in a different quality of being and the Divine Feminine will not only enrich but make this channel more complete.
Much of what we know about Meerabai comes from her poetry. Her poetry expresses the longing and seeking of her soul for union with Sri Krishna. At times, she expresses the pain of separation and at other times the ecstasy of divine union. Her devotional poems were designed to be sung as bhajans, and many are still sung today. It is said in her death she miraculously disappeared by merging into an idol of Krishna.
Born in the early 15th century, Meerabai was a Krishna devotee of the highest order. She was unaffected by the criticism and suffering of the world. She was born a princess but gave up the pleasures of palace for begging on the streets of Vrindavan.
Meera Bai was a Rajput princess and the only child of Ratan Singh who was the younger brother to the ruler of Merta, one of the prosperous kingdoms of Rajasthan.

Mira bai never refused to worship durga , she worshipped both krishna and durga but her husband's family tried to stop her to worship Krishna, that was the real problem. And why would she refuse to worship durga as durga is sister of Krishna 🙏😊

@@nirbhaytaneja7463 No they aren't completely. Durgā is bahir Sakti of Krishna - His outer potency. The Hladini Sakti (internal potency) is Rādhā/Lakshmi only. According to Padma Purāna, Durgā devī is a miniscule fraction of Srimati Rādhā Rani.

Yes, she did refuse to worship Durgā. You could confirm it from many websites on the internet. And unless you provide a proof negating it, it remains a historical fact. And why wouldn't she refuse to worship Durgā? Have you heard of Shri Vaishnavas of Rāmānujācharya? They don't worship anya devatas after performing Sharanāgati to Bhagavān Krishna.

No, Akbar had not met Mirabai in his lifetime. When Meerabai merged with the idol of Lord Dwarkadhish , It was the year 1546 . While Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar was born in 1542 , just 4 years after Mirabai merged in Krishna's idol. The popular folklore says that Mirabai had sang and danced before Akbar at Chittorgarh fort . This is not historically possible as Mirabai left Chittor in 1534 , same year when Bahadur Shah had sacked the fort and 8 years before Akbar's birth. The portyal of Mirabai in 1979 movie Meera is not factually correct. She was never death sentenced by Rajputs at Chittor for meeting Akbar. All these are myths that Mirabai danced before Akbar, Rani Karnavati sent Humayun a rakhi.. This is how these kind of people's try to Glorify Mughals... Akabar was never interested in any other religion except his own.. if u don't believe go n read why Akbar massacred 40k innocent civilian in chhitor just becz they were Hindus...

This is one of Meera's poems, I like the most: *I am mad with love* *And no one understands my plight.* *Only the wounded* *Understand the agonies of the wounded,* *When the fire rages in the heart.* *Only the jeweller knows the value of the jewel,* *Not the one who lets it go.* *In pain I wander from door to door,* *But could not find a doctor.* *Says Mira: Harken, my Master,* *Mira's pain will subside* *When Shyam [Krishna] comes as the doctor.*

@@anjalipandey2648 yes, I loved it too. I myself learned it in our Hindi classes. In class 10th, we had Pada-s of Surdas, a great Krishna Devotee. And a section of Rāma-Charit-Mānasa too. Absolutely beautiful. They sowed the seeds of Bhakti in me.

Actually the story was very short....she did not rejected Goddess Durga she knew Durga , Krishna , Shiva all are just a manifestation of One God.....there is more to her story....the narrator summarized and skipped many details since it would become a long movie

About the oppression by her family, Meera writes: *Mira danced with ankle-bells on her* *feet.* *People said Mira was mad; my* *mother-in-law* *said I ruined the family reputation.* *Rana sent me a cup of poison and Mira* *drank it laughing.* *I dedicated my body and soul at the feet* *of Hari.* *I am thirsty for the nectar of the sight of* *him.* *Mira’s Lord is *the holder of mountain*; I* *will* *come for refuge to him.* *Holder of mountain is a reference to the pastime when the Lord lifted Govardhan hill on His tiny finger to protect His devotees. You've watched it in little Krishna episode 2.

Meera Bai is a great devotee of Krishna. ❤️ Here is the example of love towards God as a husband, which is very rare to see in other cultures. You can love Krishna as a Friend, Lover, God, Guru, Own Child (in Gopal form) or Father, anything u want. 😀 Relation with god is very beautiful, it's LOVE and DEVOTION. It's like u r a part of Him and He is a part of U. ❤️❤️❤️ OM NAMO NARAYANA ❤️🙏❤️

1:26 the picture of the saint you see here is of Swami Raghavendra Tirtha. He was a GREAT theologian, philosopher (from the Dvaita tradition) and a humble devotee of the Lord, almost like Thomas Aquinas of Vaishnavas. I respect him so much.

One of the thousands things that why I'm so grateful to live in India is me and mostly every Indian people got the opportunity of knowing these amazing saints and these amazing stories from watching them on TV or listening from grandparents or listening their bhajans from very childhood. I think many people will face it difficult to digest the last part of story that she merged in Krishna's idol but it is true. Krishna always protected her but never appeared before her. But at last Meera was so desperately willing to see Krishna that she, without eating and drinking, was continuously crying and calling out to Krishna and that was the moment when she attained the highest level of consciousness and finally Krishna appeared before her and took her with him. We read meera bai's poem in our schools and believe me the poems are out of the world I still miss those poems when I passed out from school... ❤️❤️❤️❤️If i was a bit more devoted towards lord at that time I could have enjoyed the poems even more... Hare Krishna ❤️ 🦚

There is a great movie based on Meerabai's story..It's titled Meera and is played by Hema Malini .Very moving and highly recommended story telling with the original songs composed by Meerabai herself!

8:01 they also sent a poisonous cobra in a basket to kill her. But by grace of Krishna, the cobra snake turned into a beautiful Garland. Such is the Glory of Powerful devotees like Meera, who compel God to perform miracles. Krishna delights in such Blessed devotees. All hail to the Bhaktas of Bhagavān! 🙏🙇♀️

.But this was not done by her husband Bhojraj. Kunwar Bhojraj also built a Krishna temple for her at Chittor. After her death, Rana Vikramaditya tortured Mirabai.

8:31 it was Srilla Rupa Goswami the fountain head of the bhakti movement and a very intimate associate of Sri Sri Radha Krishna in the spritual world krishnaloka also known as goloka . Bhakti movement was started by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu himself who is none other than Sri Krishna disguised in the form of a devotee.

Lol I remember one story where Krishna appeared Infront of Hanuman and said " I am your lord ram " but Hanuman said " I need to see you in the form of Ram as I have always cherished that form of yours " so Krishna appeared in the form of Ram to please Hanuman . I think it's all about getting severely attached to the particular form of lord . Also in Bhagvat Geeta Krishna says that he appears to us in the form that we cherish . So when meerabai was asked to worship the form of Durga and to stop worshipping the form of Krishna ...she just couldn't do so

The lord Krishna murti or idol which mira bai worship is still exist . It's located in India , state Himachal Pradesh , Town Nurpur. The king of Nurpur once visit mewar of rajesthan . When king was returning to Nurpur then the king of that time of mewar offer a gift and in the gift Nurpur king demand that idol if lord Krishna.

I am from Chittor which was Meera Bai's in-laws house and even today there is her palace which is called Meera Bai's palace and also the room where Meera Bai was poisoned and that poison became nectar, and that temple today Also exists where Meera Bai used to worship Krishna in Chittorgarh Fort,...
