Things I didn't know before this video: - some frogs have teeth - toads are a family of frogs - all toads have poison glands I hope I got that right. I'm going to look for more pictures of frogs with teeth now ... Thank you very much!

And you may know that they use their eyeballs to swallow by pushing them down into their head. That’s why they “blink” when they eat.

Trevor sure is calm and relaxed. My Fowler's Toad is a maniac and won't sit still in a hand even after regular interactions and handling for feeding time

The "all toads are frogs" thing reminded me of when I was studying entomology, and learned about "true bugs" (Heteroptera), and that "All bugs are insects, but not all insects are bugs". My prof would call us out in class if we called anything that wasn't in the Heteroptera order a bug.

Did you know that’s how they swallow? Frogs (and toads) push their eyeballs down into the head to push the food down their throat.

Fun fact about toads and frogs. They blink when they eat because their eyeballs help push the food down their throat, which is kinda gross, but it's kinda cool at the same time!

I found it fitting that the poison is called bufotoxin. Bufo bufo is the scientific name for the common toad.

When I cared for spiders, we would put the crickets on ice just long enough to calm them down, making feeding easier. Maybe you could do the same with the cockroaches?

Hi animal wonders My name is Joanne and i am 11 and i have a indian ringneck parrot(female) age : 1 year(it is a guess) .I also have a cockateil(female)(also a guess) and she is somewhere around 2-3months . Scientifically, a toad is anything in the family *Bufonidae.* Colloquially, a toad is any dry-skinned terrestrial frog. All toads are frogs, but not all frogs are toads. The silly thing about this is that the Panamanian Golden Frog (Atelopus zeteki) is a scientific toad, but the North American Spadefoot toads (Scaphiopodidae) are not! But Trevor there is both a scientific and colloquial toad.
