0:00 And 1:41 My name is Nina, I'm the girl in the video. I wasn't able to be as eloquent as I wanted in the interview due to nerves but I'd like to write here what I should've said. I became an ARMY in April 2017, about 2 months after Not Today was released. Since the start, BTS' message has been of great importance to me. Not only their positivity, but the fact that they've inspired me like no other. As an artist I was becoming stagnant. My artist's blocks were becoming more frequent and longer. But, thanks to BTS, I was able to embrace what I loved and came to rely on it the same way that I'm sure the member's rely on their music or dance. I drew Yeontan because I knew that Taehyung cares about his pets, family and friends. Since I've been Tae biased from the beginning, I've always wanted to do something for him (the rest of BTS too but more so with Tae). I would love to give this drawing of something that's truely precious to Taehyung to the man himself, however, I don't know how. It would give me a chance to give something back to him. As I said in the video, I started dealing with panic and anxiety issues. I would have severe panic attacks over my family life, extreme low self-esteem and stress because of school. But BTS, their music, their laughter, their smiles, has helped me time and time again. I haven't had a panic attack now for months, and even then: Magic Shop prevented it from damaging me. I love BTS with my whole being, they bring so much light into my life. I was honoured to be interviewed by the BBC and I'm grateful that I was given the chance to see BTS live in London. If you've read this far, thank you ~ Nina 💜 방탄소년단 보라해 💜 너무너무 감사합니다 💜 사랑합니다

I'm just gonna throw this out there for those who wish to throw unwarranted hate at BTS just because you hold some kind of prejudice: BTS is not your sugar candy boy band with only mindless screaming fans. They are 7 remarkably talented people who are leading a movement to empower youth. Now the question is, who are you to judge them?

What they are doing with their music is truly monumental. Never has music in an Asian language spread so far and wide especially amongst audiences who don't know the first thing about the language but look up their lyrics and find the beautiful messages they're trying to convey. To all the people dismissing them simply bcoz either "they are another manufactured boyband" or "I don't understand what they say" Please give them a chance since they are as far from a typical manufactured boyband as possible.

BTS literally write and produce their own music, create their own choreography, are involved in decisions about their performance to the last of the details. They talk about their personal stories through their music whether it is criticizing the school & education system or mental health or talking about the extreme pressures that are put on our generation. Idk what you think makes them "manufactured" but they are not that

K-POP GROUPS with large international fans and concerts in either Europe, Middle east, South America, United States = BTS, Big Bang, Blackpink, Exo, Shinee, Got7, B2st, Nct, U-Kiss, Vixx SNSD. CN blue, 2pm, Bap.( properly missed out some others, even I don't know all ) All of these groups had concerts, tour, large fanbase in one o many non-asian continents. Their International fans (not including Asian fans ) are 500,000-13,000,000 western fans but BTS have like 15,000,000 western fans K-POP GROUPS that are definitely going to be the next or half as famous as BTS are IKonic, Stray Kids, Seventeen you see massive number of international fans like 60-80% of their fans are non-Asian in their instagram and that's only instagram, not twitter. They have massive 50-200 million views with millons likes. But K-pop groups that were only famous in Asia and not much fans in the west and always had been = Infinite, BTL History. Pure C-Clown ect These group just never been able to have a significant fanbase outside in Asia and even their Asian fanbase is less than the other K-pop bands I mentioned and some are disbanded. The more fans they have the more they could maintained their groups existence. I like C-clown... it's too bad despite all the international reaction they aren't as good as the old K-pop boybands and especially new ones. BTS and Big Bang are so well known that those who call themselves K-pop fans don't even know other K-pop groups existed because of the disproportionate international fan base that BTS and Big Bang have and them being the most powerful representative of K-pop. Most K-pop fans generally have 3 to 7 groups they stan and most of the time BTS and Big Bang would generally be included in their list of K-pop boybands.

@alice g-w Listen carefully but I doubt you will. You are being very naive and I will prove to you why. You will be laughing on the other side of your face real soon. If I saw the racism, I would call it out, you have shown nothing, you have proved nothing. You have even tried to insult me many times and also because I have a daughter. I have been arguing with you throughout this comments section... Over a band? You think you hold some high ground here? Lol, we'll see. If you know it is wrong... Where are your comments telling your mates that what they are saying is wrong then? Why aren't you putting them right? As I keep saying, look at the stats, the UK is one of the least racist countries in the world and always has been. We are talking about people here, not naval businesses. I will come back to this point. TBC. I am a part-time History & Maths teacher and I am well aware of what is going on in our schools ATM, it is partially why I moved to part-time, the kids' heads are being filled with nothing that will assist them in life. This self-hating of ourselves, making children cry for their skin colour, it is repulsive and beyond the pale. It is truly disgusting and you are doing nothing to combat it other than backing up idiotic claims that if you are British, old, male and white, you are a racist, while also saying that it is a good thing that Britain is becoming more diverse, insinuating that there is something wrong with being white and when old whitey dies off, the better it will be. I mean, WTF!? This is the same old people who fought against actual racists, the ones the term of 'racism' was invented for, you are going to stand by and let that idiot say that, but still come at me... over a pop band? Have you no respect for your elders? My Grandfather HATED them for doing that to the Jews, he hated racism in any form, old or new. Your own family would have been involved too if you are British and yet you still let that muppet describe our families like that? Talking from complete ignorance and zero self awareness... Once more, over some misplaced loyalty to a Korean band? You have the gall to talk down at me!? Now, that aside: _"In a comment to me you said Britain has never been racist and I have to laugh..."_ See this^, this is why you do not know WTF you are talking about. First of all, I never said that. I meant the British people. Secondly: What Britain's sea merchants have done and what the British people are like are two very different things. Keep up. Britain was the only country in the world that would not allow slaves to be owned on its shores. Why? 1000 years ago we made it illegal. So what did the naval market do, they traded slaves between continents without taking them to the British Isles because it would have been illegal. I ask again, why? Why were we sop against this happening on our own land? I know the answer, but I want you to look it up. These were slaves sold by other African chiefs, why did we allow them to remain? Why not take them too? It was a business deal, that's why. It had nothing to do with their skin colour. Slavery was as old as prostitution. A practice that was reviled in our own homeland and one we ended and pushed the western world to do the same. You never hear of this story, do you? It is a shame those African tribesmen never get the blame, it is only ever the British. How convenient. So, laugh it up, I know what I am talking about, you do not, as you are only repeating rhetoric from your Gender Studies teacher. Don't believe me? Never mind use Google. Then tell me I am wrong. I dare you. Business is not the same thing as racism. It is a huge shame you cannot tell the difference, yes it is disgusting that British sailors were involved at all in that but that is not the British people. We the people were very much against it. Why do you think we ended slavery so long ago if we have such a history of racism? Doesn't that go against our own interests? You brush it aside like it is nothing, in the very same thread where you are all claiming to be against racism? Is some racism okay in your eyes? Once again, you have done nothing but show your own ignorance while attempting to talk down at me. Now go ahead and tell me how you didn't read this and go back to calling me names again. In fact, never mind Google, go read some history books because Google has an agenda these days and I do not trust them to provide anyone with the correct information. Oh and I know you won't look into it, so here is the answer. We ended slavery because we had been enslaved ourselves. It is why British campaigners had to bring about the end of the slave trade by encouraging the world to do it if we were the only ones, then we would have lost to time. We have a LOT to be proud of, not ashamed. Especially when there are still slaves to this day. *Read more*

Being able to perform in the UK was a dream come true for the band and they genuinely loved being able to just be there with their UK Armys. Eating dogs is only the old generation and is getting less and for your info old generation scandivian eat dogs and other european eat horses, sheeps.

I love the fact that armies are so sophisticated and high educated people who dig into the meaning ,treasure and taste real music throughout BTS' songs .THEY HAVE DEMONSTRATED that armies are moms , dads, tens , just like RM said it's just a big aquarium filled with different colourful fishs😍😘😘😘 NOT MAD LITTLE GIRLS BIG UP AND VOTE FOR BTS AT PEOPLE 'S CHOICE AWARDS AND THE AAA

How wonderful. Seeing bts and army reminds me of my youth listening to British bands like Beatles, genesis, Duran Duran, queen, etc. although I didn't speak English at all. It was a joy studying those lyrics and sing along. Any music touches people heart with positivity is good one.

to be honest, i expect a lot from UK's public that they will become OPEN MINDED and TRY TO LISTEN WITH BTS first w/o prejudice. It's fine if bts' music is not their cup of tea but at least RESPECT them and DON'T mock their race
@arthurdent9745

Their fans seem like wannabe victims,,, the UK is one of the most open-minded places in the world. If you bothered to look it up, you'd know this. How ironic that you are being a prejudiced bigot based on nothing while calling it out. Respect is earned and so far their fans aren't helping matters.

@Grossly Offensive Just to let you know when BTS appeared on the GRAHAM NORTON show a lot of racist and xenophobes attacked BTS on twitter. They insulted their race and language. Just because u didn't see it, doesnt mean it never happened. Pls do your research!! A lot of videos of BRITISH PEOPLE INSULTING the ASIANS on KZfaq and NEWS. Tanga mo weirdong racist na psychopath!! @@arthurdent9745 fans r fans bts is bts...you cannot evaluate bts with what their fans say...they only wish for the well being of their idol & will continue to praise them since they r their inspiration & motive...if you really wanna know about those boys just search it up & you will see how wonderful bunch of human beings they are...and their music reflects the issues of our current society ...they r not some typical boy band singing only romantic love songs. And they write & produce their own music.
