Some things chose you in life, well this is one of those times.
come along for the ride as we re-trace our steps to pick up the project of a lifetime that I stumbled across on the last night of our 4 month trip, you could not write a better script and we didn't have to as it all fell into place as if it were meant to be.
Im so excited to show you around "LANCE THE HJ47 LANDCRUISER" and cover what we will be doing to him. This is gonna be good 👍🏼

I had a 1976 fj40 back in 87 - 91 and loved it. If your modern beast is the same you'll really enjoy adjusting the front brakes, just be ready to loose some skin 🤣🤣 we'll be watching the build .

Nice, 8.25r16 tyres would be good on that good for hwy and clearance.

I am soooo in agreeance with your views on new and electronic/ electric vehicles They are just not me … I have done so many miles in these old girls and that’s why I love em too !!!

Beauty, I think Fab Rats did a resurection on that model last year, bit of a rock crawler daily driver. You tube videos cover most of the build.

Cool ep and Lovely old 4wds she should come up a treat. My dad and brother had a few of theses old girls back in the day all new, Great farm 4wds, The girlfriend now wife and I bought a green HJ47 -1982 with 188, 000ks on it we did 350,000ks in it around the farm and travelling all over QLD and to NSW, VIc, SA the centre and Cape York and the Gulf QLD and NT camping for months at a time and fishing. and we did Fraser and DI many times, great farm trucks but not so good as for touring with out front Discs brakes and power steering which we did not have. But we made do our old girl got 20mile to the gallon day in day out. , Oh they leek oil from the tranfur box into the gearbox, theres a hose kit you buy goes from bung to bung, if hard to start at first just put a jumper lead from the battery to the glow plug rail to glow that bit longer, Enjoy the rebuild,

I would recommend disc brake front end power steer and 5 speed conversion I owned a BJ 42 with these options and it was fantastic Cheers

All things I will look into and don’t forget the turbo 🤙🏻
