Try camping with Ottie in the garden first, so she gets use to being in and building a tent. Then when you actually go camping with her she will be totally use to it. There is no "feeling like a parent" because you are just yourself with kids. You don't live your life as a stereotype of a mom or dad you are still yourself after having kids. Novie is a doll!
