She and the baby had a close call whilst having her first child, plus she had an ectopic pregnancy. Only mentioned during her patronages. The ectopic has never been discussed. No need for letters to the papers. These are private and very difficult moments in anyone’s lives. She supports sight charities as her daughter Louise was born with an issue.

Sophie is beautiful and regal. She quietly goes about her royal duties and is greatly admired by me and many others. I wish we saw and heard more about her. I know the Queen loved her dearly and vis versa!

Before the Covid crisis and the death of Queen Elizabeth The Second, I would not have given them house room but when needed they stood up took on all appointments and engagements with smartness, grace and elegance. I love how time seems to have stopped for the Duchess of Edinburgh, she is just as beautiful as the day she married Prince Edward. Her eyes still are radiant as is her smile, which only shows how after twenty five years love is still growing between the two of them. I can well understand why the Royal Family love her as they do, especially the Late Queen. She is a woman all us women certainly can admire. God bless her and her family.

@@avon1243 So she said. I believe it was a bracelet and some other pieces so the Queen ELIZABETH II put a stop to meeagains ever “ borrowing” any more jewelry. There were rumors that she actually sold the pieces for cash which she pocketed. It occurred before they ever left whereupon the Queen said NO MORE!

HRH does not have enough ice; Queen Mary did much better than QEII at sharing out the loot. Also, Princess Sophie has warm colouring and she would suit yellow-gold stuff. QEII had a few jewellery pieces in yellow gold. HRH works very hard and she deserved to have inherited more from QEII, IMO.

Lovely and Very Accurate...I love how you... (more almost anyone else) Have managed to Tie In the commentary with the correct photos... It's so maddening when others … Dont bother to do this ? I would have liked you at the end to have shown our Queen Camilla wearing the Burmese Tiara... so far on two public occasions... It's creation isn't adored World Wide... However; If anyone took the time and bother to check out fine prints available out there, or as I have seen it... "in the flesh" so to speak... I feel more people would see the true magnificence of the workmanship as I did...& view it differently. It's really stunning. Though i still feel the Tudor Rose motives of Rubies should have circled a good sized Diamond or... Diamonds? H M Queen Camilla... Really does wear this Tiara better than HM The late Queen... and I will subscribe and like... etc. Tick ... Done.

I've always wondered what the process is. Clearly the Queen herself didn't have time to determine who was going to be lent which piece for which occasion. And I'm sure Sophie probably has someone to choose her clothing and jewelery for each. Is there a royal jeweler who decides?

OK ...for Overseas...Royal Visits and for State Banquets The dressers for all the Royal Ladies will make a request of the Queens Top Dresser... these events are generally planned months ahead of time... so no rush...however a funeral or some other un-foreseen event...This can all be done with a phone call. Its a general and Common Practice... BUT suggested pieces are passed by The Queen ...as she has a nominal say in who gets what...BUT the real choices are done by the Dressers... I suspect However at the most recent Chinese State-Dinner...Queen Camilla would have been told Sophie would be the 2nd most important female at the event there being no Princess Catherine or The Princess Royal...& Camilla herself would have suggested the Jewels... Why...? Well... The Earrings and Necklace belonged to Camilla herself...& not The Late Queen ...The suite really is magnificent. I'd say...Queen Camilla herself suggested the Up-Grade... They get on very well.

No they aren’t; although Diana was still when Edward and Sophie started dating. Diana was not fond of Sophie because of her hairstyle, Diana complained that Sophie was intentionally making herself out to be the “new princess of Wales” I absolutely love Duchess Sofia; she is beautiful
