First time I saw him was with Yngwie on the ”Odessey” tour. His father, Jan Johansson, was a Swedish Jazz legend. Check out the album ”Jazz på svenska”.

Jens is a class act amongst musicians. IMO he deserves as much credit for the first 4 YJM albums being so great (especially the first 3). His playing innovated the genre and this is a great interview. I agree with his take on not being Satanic. The world is dark enough without making it more evil. I have always remembered the cigarette hanging out of his mouth while performing Spanish Castle Magic from Live In Leningrad since I was 17 years old. I purchased that VHS when it came out with Christmas money and watched it hundreds of times.

11:50 peeing on Dio's shoes: Jens actually did it to Timo Tolkki on some festival in Spain. Typical Jens😝 and some of his routine on tour, he probably forgot that he used to blow dirty toilets up for fun 😁

I am a christian but I can take up Jens ideas and understand that he isn´t a satanist but understand that many metalbands are taking up dark themes as they appear in this world.He is one of the greatest keyboardists in the world.
