I knew little to nothing about Sean Brosnan before this video other than he coached Newbury Park. His story is crazy talk about finding a way and just getting it out of the mud. Massive respect to him and just how the passion he has shines through when he starts to talk about running, training, and coaching.

I could see it in the eyes of your runners. They were out on their feet at the finish, having spent themselves on the course. The mental discipline you have instilled in them is astonishing, because anyone who has run at a completive level knows that distance running, particularly cross country, is as much about psychology and dealing with brutal pain than simply being talented and gifted with the physiology.

I was a little confused at first. I'm a James Bond fan and Pierce Brosnan lives in Malibu. He also has a son Sean! But this one wasn't born in Ireland. I think it was Long Island, New York. I even remember Pierce running, very well I'll add, in the movie Ghost Writer. Coach Sean Brosnan certainly looks like he could be a son of Pierce. So they may be neighbors living in adjoining communities but that's all. What are the odds of getting 5 or 6 guys on your XC squad that can crank out a 14:00 to 14:45 5K? It will never happen again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

honestly just be a consistent runner, do the little things like strength training, not doing fun stuff, enjoy running and you will grow to lower that time

Best thing you can do is eat well, and don’t get injured. You’re body is still growing. It needs good nourishment.
