Welcome back to episode 2 of a new collection of videos I will be working on!
Where I will introduce you to a driver and their beloved car!
This week we meet Ronald! You may recognise him from other KZfaq videos, from my KZfaq channel.
In this video, we introduce you to his 1999 BMW E36 Z3 2.0i. He has had the car for almost 2 years, and he gives us his first hand experience on what his ownership experience was like!

I mean, I’m obviously going to be biased and say that this is the best KZfaq video ever. It has been an awesome journey with this car and I cannot wait for the world to open up Pun so we can go on more road trips

@@boabie1463 I have thought about a hard top but to be honest, after getting the soft top replaced last year, the desire has gone down to change. Have to get it in my garage soon as I have a few maintenance projects on it before summer kicks in

@@boabie1463 I believe Ronald has quite a few plans for the car. But one thing at a time, firstly starting with wheels, some cosmetic issues and replacing some old seals. But your wine red is lovely too! Not a colour you ever see on a Z3 on the road now. Usually see black, blue or green.

Nice to see young people still like a great car . My z3 2.8 has 172 ,000 on the clock 1999 wide body and she still pulls well . Only take her out in the summer 4-5 months but always take her for a long trip around the uk for a week love my z and will never sell her .👍

Thanks Nigel! Glad you enjoyed the video! I think it’s the rawness of older cars, that makes them such a joy to drive. I owned a Volkswagen MK1 Golf GTI before, and Ronald’s Z3 in some aspects reminded me of the feeling of that car again.

How do you find the balance of the car, with the front end being a bit more heavier. With the slightly heavier engine? Can imagine it being quite fast and sounding pretty amazing too! ☺️

@@WhatThePun with new shocks at the front the balance of the car feels great and a muffler delete makes it purr beautifully, you can really feel the torque on a small car like this so there is times it will push me to the back of my seat, love the video btw !

Hi guys , I have a 99 Z3 with the 1.9 which bought as project car earlier this year, so far been great fun to work on and drive, got more to come and hope take Europe next year. Nice video which refreshing approach with chat around car. Only comment would be reduce the volume of backing music during conversations as it became over powering. Keep up the good work.

Depending on what next year looks like for all of us. Then hopefully European trips would be possible. Myself and Ronald are hoping to make a trip to Nurburgring next year 🙏 Thanks for the feedback, I’m still trying to figure out the video editing tools. The music one, I think I will have figured out for the upcoming videos 👍

I’ve been bugging him to fit wheels that originally came with the car. 🤣 Already got them, he just needs some fresh tyres on them. Slowly going to try and get the car close to it’s original form.

The BMW 2.0 really doesn't have a whole lot of power unfortunately You should have got the 2.8 or even the 3.0.

Your engine is an M54 bro for your interest 😉 but it changes very little things

I think Ronald’s Z3 is the M52, cause it’s the 2.0 inline-six. Though I’m pretty sure he would wish it was the M54, as it’s the bigger 3.0 inline-six. 🤣

@@WhatThePun M52s are 2.8 engines (M52B28 and TU), M54 are 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 and 3.0 😉 (M54B20, B22, B25, and B30), 2.5 were reserved for the US market thought 🙂

To be fair, I always referred to it as a M52 as I read that online somewhere. Nice one for the clarification. We are in lockdown...again...so no road trips yet but hopefully soon
