Before him, there was Janet Rosenberg a Jewish American from Chicago who came to Guyana in the 1940s. She eventually became Guyana first famale president and she was Jewish. Hmmmm! Guyana is really diverse.

One of the founding parents of Guyana and first female president, Janet Rosenberg Jagan was a born Jewish woman from Illinois, Chicago USA. I'm sure she was connected to her roots.

Why are there traces of the religion of the colonial powers? There should be many 'Houses of Worship' as well as large public gathering for any 'holyday' that come around throughout the year.

Many religions in Guyana, recall the big mosque in Anna Regina back in the 70s. Was raised with Catholic beliefs due to Portuguese roots but also one quarter was Hindu and half English Christian. Guess you could say I covered them all.

Is talking about God in the OT not encouraged? On those channel, Moses is not an unknown name, one that references a singular man, since about 4,000BC. As a 21st century Christian, it would be more like 'a Church' is an online congregation that exchanges 'thoughts in a written form' that should include references to some verse that guides what the topic is and how it fits in with what others have read. The 1611KJV is 'the standard text'. The scribes that penned that 1st edition lived and breathed that 'work' from start to finished. When not 'quietly writing, they were chatting, about what they had just 'translated'. By the end of doing 'The Bible' they were as wise as the Scribe that wrote 'the Revelation of John'. The only Scribe that was shown all parts 'of the big picture', as defined by Ge:1-3 and Re:20-22 alone.

You think Guyana’s the only one? Try visit Suriname next door. There are around 200 Jews left in Suriname, and they even have a synagogue next to a mosque.

Why everytime a foreigner visit Guyana, people like you always have to make comments like "you need to visit Suriname " and " it's so much better than Guyana" Ect what the problem? Do guys envy Guyana or something? I notice this type of behavior on several videos whenever a foreigner visit Guyana,.It's seems to hurt you people so bad it caused you to make these "envy" statements

Plus, as an Indonesian, I can somehow relate to Suriname because we were both under Dutch colonial rule. On another note, Guyana is a very cool country which I'd love to visit if given the opportunity

there are around 40 Jews in Guyana any time of the year, but they stay for 2 weeks and then leave, they stay for the rotations but this guy is the only one who lives here permanently

He has no choice but to live in Guyana till he dies simply because in the late eighties and early nineties this guy was in the diamond business and he has cheated quite a few Indians living in Antwerp, Belgium where he was based at that time! Ah! Now I realise where that ill gotten wealth went! He bought an island from that money! 😌👌🙄 You know how this fraudster operates? I too was cheated by him then and after he took about 1,00,000 dollars worth of diamonds he started paying 500 or 1000 dollars after 4 to 6 weeks! So obviously it's like paying just the interest on that huge capital! No wonder nobody would want to marry him and he can smile and advice as much as he wants to, deep inside he is simply a crook, a cheater!! 🙏

hello friend I think there were more jews who imigrated to Guyana from Portugal when the catholic church were trying to and killing jewish people in the 1800 century, but imigrated to north america., I very much hope Guyana and Isreal will be very close friends for all time. this is because of a rabbi from nazerath walked this earth 2000 years ago ,and we pray for isreal because of him.
