Bonjour! Meet the cast of Disney's Beauty and the Beast as the most enchanted musical of all time returns to London for a strictly limited season.
This beloved ‘tale as old as time’ has been brought to life on stage like never before, with all the charm and elegance audiences expect from Belle and her Beast. 25 years after its Olivier Award-winning West End debut, members of the original creative team have reunited on this new production featuring all of the spellbinding songs of Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice including Belle, Gaston, Be Our Guest and, of course, Beauty and the Beast.

I love hearing the insights into the character interpretations - that Lumiere choreographed Be Our Guest within the universe of the show, and that Cogsworth worked for the Beast’s father before him.

Disney always has a big role in the staging of anything related to their films, as they are judged by their quality. Frozen was the same, amazing music, staging, costumes and performances

Wow, west end is getting that diversity in with multiple productions nowadays. Just giving them recognition for being with the times.

I love not only the cast but also the costumes, especially the costume of Lumiere. Because the costume of Lumiere was not just put the whole “candelabra costume“on the actor but only put two candleholders on actor’s arms, so we could see the interesting facial expression of Lumiere by such a design. If there is an online version, I will buy it definitely!

I just adore how there is more representation of classic characters! I am a mixed, fair-skinned, freckle-faced, bright-eyed, button nose, and have curls, but I look like Belle with mixed ethnic hair! Waiting for this cast has never been sweeter!

A gentle reminder: The orchestrations you’re listening to in this video, probably the ones you remember from the OBCR and spent years listening to, are not in the show. They’ve been changed to be played with just 10 musicians and a virtual PRERECORDED orchestra called KeyComp. The original West End orchestra had 26 musicians, and it was completely live. Some of the songs (such as No Matter What) have been cut. Think twice before supporting this production.

Was disappointed by Phantom in London and Les Mis on tour for lack of musicians.

@@Junoleda yeah, and of course I know it won't be what I expected. The duster not renamed to Plumette, the wardrobe not renamed to Garderobe, Maestro Cadenza not being added, adding "Days in the Sun" (although some prefer "Human Again" over it, but I think "Human Again" proves the good time the objects have), etc. in honor of the 2017 movie, etc. INSTEAD THEY JUST CUT sTUFF FROM THE NETWORKS TOUR 9INCLUDING THE ENTERTAINING MEAL IN BE OUR GUEST, WHICH I THINK WOULD'VE BEEN GREAT F THEY WERE INSPIRED BY THE CRUISE LINE PRODUCTION!

Wait a minute…. So if the Beast is really the product of the servants spoiling him because they had to take care of him after he lost his parents, then why does he get punished? Why not punish the servants instead? It’s their fault that he was a horrible person and he got that enchantress mad.

Well I say believing a theory that the servants didn't have the power to say no to him because he's a prince unwilling to listen to anyone you know it was his parents have the power to disciplined him after they died so he rules the castle by himself.

Here are my cast descriptions: Belle: Divorced, beheaded, CHANGED Beast: The hairy inspector whose name we'll never forget Gaston: MY WHAT A PIRATE (I DON'T KNOW THIS YET) THAT FREDERIC LeFou: *insert Miss Saigon joke here* who missed his chance to spell Gaston's name Maurice: The master inventor of the house Lumiére: The footman who is not a loser Cogsworth: The butler/majordomo/friend of the Beast's father who hid below an opera stage and fell in love with this opera singer, and he wore a freaky half-mask thing, and he played the organ a lot and got all broody 'cause the singer was in love with another dude, so he took her away on this underground gondola. I mean, who doesn't love musical theater?! Mrs. Potts: POPSTAR GOVERNESS Chip: Always as usual Plumette: The "cat" maid who knows how to FLY Garderobe: uhhhhhhhhhh... never heard of her before the cast announcement

Meet Beast DJ Caberte Beast So the Beast. I feel like is a very misunderstood character. A boy 👦 lost his parents at a young age and was raised by the servants in the Castle who spoiled him. He meets this Girl 👧 belle in the Castle 🏰 and doesn't what to do. He doesn't know how to handle it so he tries to bully her into liking him. This is a Different Disney story. It's really. I think 🤔, one of the first times ⏲️ where the Girl 👧 save the guy 👦 just to see him go from really angry 😡 and Beastly to this Prince 🤴. She brings out the human out of this Beast. His willingness to try and dig deep and try and that heart ❤️ so he can save everyone around him and himself, is something that's really interesting 🤔 to me
