As you descend the stairs of Bob Murch’s suburban Denver home, you see black and white photos of people hunched over talking boards.
What is a talking board, you ask? Think Ouija.
Ouija is a brand name of game called the talking board, a decades-old tool originally used by spiritualists to communicate with spirits after death. Over the years, it's evolved into a darker game.
Dozens of boards line lit shelves down there. Murch points to original boards that were built in the early 1890s.
Murch claims to be the world’s foremost collector of talking boards. He is the chairman of the Talking Boards Historical Society, a registered non-profit dedicated toward preserving the history of talking boards and all the people who are part of that world.

The real collection of boards are the ones that are made of cursed wood from cursed haunted houses. You find a real haunted house and take wood from the house itself and use it to then make a board from it.

Actually the opposite! They like people who have strong souls, to teach weak minded people, who let fear control them, like for example someone who says "they'll never play with one because they are dangerous and scary" is actually more likely to have something attach itself to that person than someone who actually is really interested, has an open mind and good strong, firm intentions. Demons feed on fear. Every rule on ouija boards like, "always say goodbye", "don't play in a graveyard" , "don't talk to zozo" etc. All designed to pray on fear, or weaken your awareness! Being afraid to go forward through education or experience is what weakens your soul! So dont fall in the trap. I myself have had a ouija board for 7+ years since i was 9. And not once have i been scared and not once has anything bad happen to me. Except when i farted in chemistry right in front of my crush😶 how embarrassing. If you want proof i can make a video of me using the ouija board and i can assure you nothing will happen!

They scare me. There is something about them that says I am evil. Granted for what I know they really no different than tarot or a pendulum. They just creep me out. My own opinion for what’s worth

judy brady The device itself is not evil. It is who you communicate with. It may be a demon or a spirit. You should never trust what they fully say because it may be a demon trying to gain your trust. I have read some stories where the spirit from the ouija board helped them. Other stories say stuff started moving around. You never know what will happen

I’m always looking for boards here near philly but besides the handmade Etsy stuff the originals are hard to find I’ve got lots of Salem FULD boards but no Baltimore And very few truly vintage to choose from im still looking for a top large round logo FULD board that were very common in the 40s-50s saw one on an old I love Lucy episode
