As someone who just spent 6 month getting the gearing, I am very sad this boat was released a week after I got it.😢

I know this has nothing to do with the vid but I'm proud of myself. I just had my first ever over 100K damage game in a bb with 4 kills. I did it in the Gneisenau. It was a feat I thought I'd never accomplish I've been stuck at 60-80K for so long. Thank you Spartan for all the tips and vids appreciate you man

As a BB main this destroyer looks good for the game. Spartans reviews just the best entertaining informative historical musical fun.

Småland is a decent counter to this ship. Likely not going to win the gunfight unless your teammates are paying attention and ready to shoot when you light it up with radar (or the Z-52 plays the engagement really bad, which will happen), but it can at least return the favor of spotting you back, shoot some salvos, send torps, shoot a few more, and hopefully disengage at 47 knots before dying. Might even pull off a yolo or a trade with the 90-94 knot torps and heal if you're in a situation where you just can't disengage.

Before release i didn't know the power of Z-52 and wanted Vermont first. Now i'm switched. Bought Gaede, Maass, Z-23 and Z-46 as Sold quite a few equipment on ships i barely play. Researching the Z-52 since that looks like the better ship (plus i have Ohio so i don't NEED the Vermont right now). Not kitting up the ships i need to progress as my plan is to play them once in co-op when the segment is gated then sell them (Maass etc), which then will go to Minnesota and Vermont (Picked up North Carolina so have that and Kansas towards Vermont).

Researching this bad boy since yesterday, looking forward to Vermont next week.

At last, an answer to the sneaky low detection IJN torp boats... life's gonna get interesting for them real quick! Great gunboat and with AA too! How long before they nerf that 2 min sonar...

My Loyang build has 5.4km sonar, 3 sec gun reload, 72 knots torpedoes, 42 knots speed and 5km detectability. Not to mention Loyang is only a tier VII ship, this is a legendary ship you'll be battling with top of the line ship also.

With this ship in the game now, I think the Mortar skill will see a lot more use. On Gearing for example it gives you a bit of breathing room against that Sonar at 6.1km detection. Kind of high but probably necessary.

I hope it doesn’t get nerfed. It just means now shimas have to play a little more sensible, no more rushing in with your sub 5km detection because there is a new sheriff in town to control caps in the z-52

The German destroyers are my favourites - they are just Good at everything and this more of the same. Love it. 👍🏻🙂

i haven’t researched the other LT destroyes because i don’t usually play destroyers. But i startet the Z-52 because i like German ships. Now after watching this video i wont bother researching the other destroyers

I can’t wait to get this the second I saw it announced I wanted it and I have most of the ships for this project except for a few so I don’t have to go out of my way to grind any ships I don’t have except grinding to Schultz which I wanted anyways even before this destroyer came to the game.

German DD are great. I have the Z-52 on the pc game, but working on getting it for Legends as well. I have noticed that sometimes the AP works really will on broadside DD and kill them quicker.

I can see Metajerk having a very epic Kraken in this damn thing. It may be possible to get the concealment down to 4.9 km's which would give a player a full 1 km difference between the 5.9 km sonar and the surface detection. I'm about two weeks away from completing two Bureau projects, so I'll be activating the Z-52 once those two weeks are up. Spartan is right about the Z-52 but here's the rub on Spartan's position. The player base isn't up to understanding how to play the Z-52 as a whole.

loved the 52 when it came out on PC, now it really is not worth bringing out due to power creep, all the radar, subs and such. Glad to see the ship is doing well in this version. Almost like what it was like on PC when it arrived.

Just curious...how is the Roon commander on this? Extra fire chance, sonar boosts for duration, amount, torpedo detection, cool down, and armor while sonar is up. And an extra smoke from fully packed. Worth it?

If its worth anything, i've run my Daring with a full smoke build for Four and a half minutes of on damand smoke so i hope its niche use can still be used effectively with the Z-52 coming up. I'll grab it and use both either way so feel free to try smoke Daring with "Smogathon" so see if it works for you.

The torp damage is kinda dissapointing for a legendary ship. But that is what you would expect from a German destroyer. 😂😢❤

Z-52 still the best dd? I’m a US bb main but My main dds are German. Z-35/z-23. I just started the z-52 project for the bey card but I will keep going if it’s still a beast.

I smell a nerf in the future. I believe they have done the whole stealth sonar thing before on Z 35 and 39 but they have been nerfed. If they do I hope they don't nerf it to much it is nice to finally have a DD that can humble the Daring.
