Meet one of my favorite girls. My "adopted" daughter in Panama. Tirsa is originally from Nicaragua. She has been in Panama for several years. She is an AMAZING natural stylist, she can do nails, makeup, mani/pedis and so much more. We began working together a few years ago. I taught her to do interlocking and helped her build a thriving natural hair business in Panama. She recently achieved her official Panama Residency, thanks in part to alot of hard work and perserverance on her part, a small circle of my friends and family who donated to a Go Fund Me Campaign I launched to help Tirsa pay the fees to get her legal status in Panama. Giovanna Bernal of @PrimeSolutionsTaxLegal was such a blessing, she donated legal services to help Tirsa. I told her how much I believed in Tirsa and how much of a hard worker she is. Tirsa just needed a boost to help her get her legal status and she would be able to do GREAT things.
I trained Tirsa to do Interlocking and she has maintained my Sisterlocks for more than a year. She is SO talented and humble. She says there is no such thing as "bad work." She is GRATEFUL for ALL work. She is VERY skilled and a fast learner. Tirsa underwent some pretty strict business training, with an emphasis on customer service and professionalism. She came through with FLYING colors and ALL the BEIP Members and others who I have referred to her have been SO pleased. We helped establish relationships between her and Black Expats in Boquete. She goes on a regular basis to do their hair. They also come to Panama sometimes to see her.
She is the BEST housekeeper I have ever had and I have been using cleaning services consistently for about the last 20 years. She is AMAZING and DESERVES the BEST! She has improved her life significantly over the last 2 years and vows to PAY IT FORWARD to others who want to work on improving their lives.
BEIP is always looking for opportunities to give back to the communities in which we live and be a blessing to those around us. Some Members need to meet the Tirsa's in their lives and REALLY hear their stories!
We have been wanting to get a mentorship program off the ground at MUCEC (in Colon), but between Covid and scheduling, it has been hard to do. I am MORE committed than ever to do MORE to help Women in Panama COMPETE with me and other foreigners who come with an advantage of Customer Service Training. This is one of MY gifts to my new Country . . . What is YOUR gift?
YES WE CAN . . . PAY IT FORWARD!! If you are in Panama and looking for opportunities to mentor and/or be a blessing to others . . . Let us know, perhaps we can match you with a trusted organization or individuals.
