I met Ross Kemp in a restaurant named Mo Mo’s many years ago. He always looks livid even when he’s smiling. On a serious note; it would be so helpful if we could unravel this and establish when it all started. Many young people are convinced they h a v e to carry a knife but I wonder how much of a role skunk-induced paranoia plays. Not suggesting that knife crime is wholly attributed to THC but it must be significant. If everybody’s paranoid and armed with blades; that’s never going to end well ... Also, there’s no politically correct way to say the following but years ago there was an influx of children who had unfortunately witnessed unimaginable violence in their country of origin who possibly became de-sensitised to violence and bloodshed. I wonder how much trauma counselling these boys received, if any ...

Yes black people are the majority of people in gangs, but it's because it's the black people who are in poorer areas. White people in the same poor areas do the same stuff, and like I said I'm part of one of the only black families in my area and I don't carry a knife, but I know a lot of white youts who do. Only certain people will understand. Yes it is crazy. But I live a good life working hard with 2 small children now, from 13 I also had to carry a knife because of where I lived. And that was early 2000's in Northumberland. Because I was scared.

in no way am i supporting knife crime but with the whole inflation thing and so little money young ppl have no choice but start dealing and gettin invloved on the streets especially w peer pressure n tha. the government don’t help by putting up stop knife crime posters n charities bc the majority of people committing is self defence n their only way of surviving. if the government acc put in effort and provided jobs and money and houses people wouldn’t be forced into this type of lifestyle. ofc it’s bad to be carrying but if anyone else was in tha situation of life or death or revenge they’d probably do the same

That surely m u s t have something to do with this spiralling problem as everything starts at home. Too many boys have mothers who never had proper dads or for whatever reason, these mums often hate their own sons. If you’re a woman whose never had a useful father then how on earth would you even begin to raise a boy?! As soon as a twelve year old boy is taller than his mother; she no longer accepts that he’s still an impressionable child/pre-adolescent requiring pretty strict guidelines.
