He is! I made a comment on one of his videos a few years ago telling him that his videos should be shown in doctors and ER waiting rooms because it would calm people down. He replied, "from your lips to their ears!". I was so happy just that he replied to me. Like Jess, he's my gardening hero.

When you introduced Charles as your gardening hero my brain thought you were going to say guardian angel for some reason so now I welcome you to refer to him as your ‘gardening angel’ as you would be for many of us! As I am sitting here watching this listening to Jess speak about Charles. Jess, this is the same feeling 99% of your viewers feel about you. After waiting 7 months from the time I purchased my tickets to getting to meet you, that evening my husband asked "Well how was your dream come true day?" I said, "I can't even explain. She touched my heart more then you could ever know. She is just as amazing in person as I have felt about her for 5.5 years" ❤ Jess and Miah you are special special people and I feel blessed just getting to meet you! 🥰

I so wish charles lived here to give us our climate help. He's been a favorite even before you came on the scene. It's really special to see you both together and you got to have that meeting! Your character shines even brighter in real life, what an encouragement you are. Opposite but similarly, my six year old daughter and I have morning apple snack and watch a Jess a lot of mornings. My tears were also rolling when you met 'Sir' Charles, he is my ultimate hero , he made gardening so much easier for me und people in my neighbourhood start no dig after visiting my garden because they could see with their own eues that it works and that you can skip so many hard and nonsense tasks with way better results 😊

I love Charles Dowding, and actually honed in on him through YOU, Jess. I love him a lot because he is an older gardener like me, and although I probably am still several years older than he is, it is nice to hear his take on plants and growing. He's also a bit in the same climate as me, maybe even colder. I also love my younger KZfaq community as they have heart, daring, AND wisdom that comes with having to deal in a very intimate way with this new and crazy world we find ourselves in. You, Charles, and Gold Shaw Farm are so jam-packed with knowledge and heart. Thank you, Jess. I'm so glad you got to meet Charles! I'm in VT, and I don't think I can swing the Northeastern Homesteader's Festival, very bummed. I'm going to try and figure a way. 🌻💙

What an honor to meet Charles Dowding in person! And I too have had banana peppers grow that I did not start. It was suppose to be bell peppers. Same thing happened to me last year and the seed company sent me a new packet then. But I guess it still had the wrong seeds in it. It's okay. They'll still eat.

I totally agree that Charles is just the same in person as on his channel and so are you and Miah and Ruthann. It was such a treat and honor to meet you all last weekend. I came from Olympia, WA (blue eyes who said goodbye to you Sunday night) to meet you all and got that and so much more. I’m glad you got the experience to know what we all mean when we thank you for coming and that you will be saying ‘yes’ more often especially since you already have so much on your plate.
