Meet the Mormons

Meet the Mormons

9 жыл бұрын

Meet the Mormons is a feature-length documentary that examines the very diverse lives of six devout members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Filmed on location and across the globe, Meet the Mormons takes viewers on a journey into the day-to-day realities of individuals living in the U.S., Costa Rica, Nepal and beyond. From their individual passions to their daily struggles, each story paints a picture as rich and unique as the next while challenging the stereotypes that surround the Mormon faith. The film will appear in theaters across the United States beginning on October 10th, 2014. All net proceeds from the film will go to charity.

I'm not a Christian or a Mormon. I'm a Muslim. But this song speaks volumes to me. It makes me understand that I am worth the space I take up on earth and that it's okay for me to take up space. I am capable, we all are. We were created by God (no matter our religion) is important.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”" John 3:16-21

A year has passed, and I want to know, have you read "The Book of Mormon, Another Testimant of Jesus Christ?" I'm reading now in the Book of Alma (one of the books of the Book of Mormon), with records of when some people were believers in Christ, before his birth, and some were fighting and killing believers. I'm amazed every time I read at how prophetic the records are, with such applicability to us in 2020. Truly a work of scripture like the Bible, and very much worth the read!

I’m listening to this absolutely beautiful song on Christmas Day, 2023. I’ve just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer two weeks ago, and this song really makes me cry with joy but also with pain. It really takes you on a journey that everyone in the world can relate to. Everyone has “been through” this song! . Christmas is full of all the emotions one can imagine. Happiness, joy, and downright pain in the depths of despair. 15 years ago, on Christmas Day, my ex-fiancé stabbed me 18 times to my skull and 12 times to my chest, inches from my heart. I’d cooked Christmas lunch, and everything happened so fast that I had no time to react at all. I never knew I’d been stabbed until I saw the blood on the crisp white walls of our new house, which we’d just moved into. Next thing I know, I am collapsing in a pool of my own blood that swallowed me up like a lake. I had just managed to dial for the police and ambulance crews to save me. Luckily, they did, but I still get flashbacks and even pain in my head (an injury site) and my chest to this very day. Life can really send you curveballs at times, but the main thing is to realise that the entire world is a very narrow and precarious bridge that we all must cross in this life. However, the main thing is never, ever to fear! . There will always be someone who will reach out to you on your journey on the bridge of life. No matter what life throws at you, remember that you’re loved and cared for, and someone is always there for you, even if it’s a stranger like me. I’m reaching out to everyone who reads my comment: I’m here for you, you matter, I love you, I’m your friend if you need one, I’m your brother from another mother, so remember, "My precious loved one," yes, I’m talking to you!,, who’s reading these words of mine. I love you, and if you need a friend, just contact me here, and if you want my Facebook or email address, just ask, and I’m here for you forever, or as long as I have left this world. I wish you peace, love, happiness, and the most important thing of all-my heart and my love as a person who loves you no matter what. Be happy. May 2024 be a great year for you. Let’s unite for peace, love, and happiness. Please pray for me. I need your prayers and support. I would love to hear some messages of support, and maybe I will start a channel to help others with what they are going through. May Hashem Adonai / G-d Bless you , Shalom Aleichem, Your dear Jewish friend and brother, Dr. Kästien. Jerusalem, Israel,🇮🇱 🙏🏻🫶🕊️🤝😊🫡👍🏻,

I was baptized a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in May of 1973. It has been such a blessing to me for all of my life. I've heard a lot of arguments and naysayers "dissing" it, but I just ask Heavenly Father to forgive them, for they know not what they do. One day, maybe far into the future, I know that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is the Christ and that Joseph Smith restored The Truth to the earth that was lost at the time of the Apostasy that the early Church leaders said would happen. Also, the Seed of Father Abraham will be gathered and will come to know who The Messiah truly is. The Bible and The Book of Mormon are, truly, the "two sticks" (spoken of in Ezekiel 37:16, 19 in the KJV of the Bible) and by two or three witnesses, every word may be established (See Deuteronomy 19:15-16 and Matthew 18:16 from the King James Version of the Bible). I hope that everyone who reads this, who is not currently a believer, will earnestly seek and knock, then open their Heart's Door so that Jesus Christ may enter and manifest Himself to you through the Holy Ghost. By the power of the Holy Ghost, you may know the truth of All Things. If you're not familiar with the 13 Articles of Faith, written by the Prophet Joseph Smith, you should Find Them, then Read Them, then Study Them and Ponder Them, so you can finally Understand Them. They are inspired and inspiring! God bless you in your Righteous Pursuits!!!

In Hebrew 'Mormon' means 'from fruitful tree' (of Joseph who went over the wall)...which means he left Jerusalem and landed in America. That fruitful tree is a pomegranate a symbol on Rosh Hashana the day the Book of Mormon plates came forth.

David is an angel here among us. What a wonderful soul. He inspires the good in us all even today. All people are welcome, all people are valued and loved no matter what religion or nationality. All are children of God and as such are sacred souls not to be degraded by anyone.

This song moves me so much. Each and every day I am so blessed to be able to wake up, knowing that I have the possibility to make an impact on people's lives simply by living through the gospel I have been taught. I'm a proud Mormon of a year and a half, and I've never been more prouder to say that.
