Having this set in hand, I gotta say I love the inspiration to “add on” if you decide to buy more than one. You could make a whole factory🤯

The odd blocky part on the Elite is present on the H3 game model as well, it's meant to be the top of the shoulder armor pushed onto the chest essentially, not the chest plate, and that's why it looks all weird, especially when translated to MEGA form.

Floodgate is the level following The Storm, which was set in a factory in Voi. Floodgate is a backtrack through it after a ship of flood crashes at the arena where you fought a scarab in The Storm. That is why there is a forklift, (the god’s vehicle) UNSC supplies, and a shipping container. When Halo 3 was announced, people thought that the forklift in the trailer would be drivable, it was not. It would become a real vehicle when Halo Reach released.

Dude I was already excited for this set, but seeing real figs in person makes me want to buy it early so bad! The figures look so good, and the ability to customize the placement of the builds leads to me wanting to grab a few( if they won’t be $150 thanks to scalpers)! Id say this, the elephant, and the falcon are the top sets that need to be distributed either as good as the razorback or on creations.

This is amazing to see this set and also saddens me cuz me and 60% of the community probably would never get our hands on it without pulling out a second mortgage to buy one from scalpers But I won't lose hope and pray all of us will be able to get this set and future sets way more easier

I love all the printed pieces in this set. So much potential for custom builds from all over the Halo games. Combining the parts and general structure of this and sets like the older Floodgate outbreak sets, the mass driver set, the NMPD Pelican landing pad, the old Falcon landing pad, that Infection tower set, the Firebase set, you could make some huge and really impressive structures just combining two or more of them. Btw the whole forklift thing is just becuase it was one of two civilian vehicles we got to drive in the series. It's just goofy seeing super soldiers driving something as mundane and slow as construction vehicles, that's why people like it. It's literally just a meme.

So from seeing this full review. I just really want to add onto what is all here already. Just a super cool structural build that we have not had for a very long time. Can't wait to see what people do with customizing this build.

What an amazing set! I really hope we see more sets like this in the future. We are definitely in need of more structure sets in 2024 (I personally would like covenant themed structures.) I’m impressed with how much love and care was put into this set, even down to the clip system to encourage customization. I honestly would like it if they released add one for this as well. Additionally, being able to pick this up on sale for $52 is an insane deal. Wow.

Man I can't wait to get this set. I'd love to get a few and combine them for a full set up. I really hope this one gets distributed well or is easily attainable. Great review! I loved the detail you went into! I was able to grab 2 of the previous floodgate sets (the one with 2 Tanks and an infected ghost) years ago. I look forward to adding this to them.

I really hope Mega starts considering making more buildings for future sets like parts for Firebases from Halo Wars or from different Halo levels like this one. I wonder how good would this set look with the UNSC Firebase... And maaaan I have so many ideas with that set but sadly this set might be impossible to find due to scalpers. An awesome set to have would be the bunker from Tsavo Highway with the warthog bays, giant bunker door, and extra warthog pieces like the cage and parts to make a troop hog

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one

Just got this a few days ago online. Absolutely stunning set. I was hesitant because of the price but I got it on sale and it was worth it. The amount of rare parts and unique figures is insane. Just the building parts itself will allow me as an animator to exponentially increase the quality of my sets.

The forklift is essentially a meme in the halo community. It was introduced in halo 2 or three but it wasn’t drivable until reach where people would try to get kills with it

In regards to the flood combat form's armor, at least to me, it looks like it's the same kinda chest plate, it's just been twisted around and broken and pulled in different directions because of the mutation. The square part you talked about on the front looks like how one of the shoulder vents would look pulled down onto the chest. Then on the backside, that big chunk to the left looks like the middle back part of the elites back middle that's just been pulled onto the upper left shoulder. I could be completely off and just seeing things, but that's how it looked to me.

Forklift was drivable in Halo Reach and was in Halo 3 during the first flood mission you're running through a warehouse so that's what this set is based off of, the very first interaction with the flood in Halo 3

my only complaint, is the head on the flood elite, yeah it adds variability for how they look, but the way it protrudes out is a bit of an eye sore, either no head or a new head mold as well would have worked immensely. everything else in the set looked great, i really hope i get this in store, and buy like 5 f them and build a giant traxxus factory, have the crane go all directions instead of 2

Maybe its like that in the game? My opinion is that if the flood while infection can change the state of the armor by shattering it or whatever method it uses to break the armor into pieces, it surely can deform the armor

i really hope they put this through their website and allow you to get a few per person based by your ip or something so you can't just make alts and buy a crap ton of them if they allow for multiple purchases each person i think scalers will have enough if a field day even then but a few per person is enough for someone to make something super cool out of combining them I'd prefer unlimited but at least if they ship through their store you'd grantee you get the extra shipping packaging as well, or as long as something like Amazon gets them because when i ordered my two pelicans (one i gave away for a trade that was well not worth the combined total, I'm dumb) i got them in special mega shopping packaging of which i kept put up simply because it was really cool to see

People can probably build their own if they have spares from the previous firebase + flood pack (halo 2 inspired one).
