This game reminds me of the joy of waking up at 7AM and seeing the scroll of “School closed due to snow.” When you’re 8 years old, there’s nothing in the world better than breakfast, Road Rash 2, and an afternoon of snow.

Road Rash 2 had a great theme, great soundtrack, and gameplay. Since then, all the other Road Rash games were never the same.

No mercy for viper, lawson & P.E. NO.1, they'd all get taken out before the finish line. God i loved this game!

One time I spent all my money in a Diablo N. Had no option except ending the race. That bike was so fast, couldn´t control it and wrecked it in no time. Instead coming back to my bike, see it exploding and lose, I've decided to run for 40 minutes to the end line, with my bike crawling behind me from far and returning every time a police officer appeared at the horizon, so I could make him go away. Thankfully I did it and could write down that damn password I forgot recording before. Epic game.

The Road Rash games were like Hang-On and Streets of Rage thrown into a blender. Great memories with this game.

Viper ruined my childhood

So my favorite memory of this game was when I passed a car heading in the same direction. I crossed the finish line as the guy is going “YEAH YEAH YEAH!” The car comes up from behind hits me “Whoaaaeeaaah!!” I fell over laughing.

Remember wishing I could ride to those places in the distance and ride up the mountains and explore. I think this was my number 1 game during the summer of 1996.

The music is even better than I remembered! Agh, those beats.

P. E. No. 1 was the biggest pain in the ass

You got your bigger/more well-known states of Alaska, Arizona, Tennessee, and Hawaii...then, there's Vermont. As a kid from Vermont whose tiny home state is often overlooked in pop-culture, I thought that was pretty damn cool.

I think this might be the most difficult game in the world to complete. RickyC has earned my admiration. I'm at stage 5 and haven't managed to complete a single race after well over a year of trying. One day I might finish a level 5 race I hope at best.

The good old Road Rash. One of my favourite childhood game on the Mega Drive along with Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Monaco GP, Streets of Rage and more. Great times playing Road Rash for hours after school & taking days off. P. E. NO. 1 was mostly annoying to deal with on Road Rash 2 until Road Rash 3 with Lucky Luc that was the next annoying type with his Oil Can wasting to deal with at a short moment until he makes his mistakes. Lol! Great memory of the old school gaming!

This was the best Road Rash hands down. If only the game wouldn't drop frames so hard, then it'd have been perfect.

Viper never gives up when you hit him

As soon as the video started a big wave of nostalgia just hit me. my childhood!

Hands down, one of the best games I ever played. good times, lots of laughs, no microtransactions... the game had some basic graphics, yeah... but it was fun to be a kid, ride a motorcycle and beat people with chains, bats, crowbars, cattle prods... and kick them into oncoming traffic!

This game had such funny sound effects, with the guys getting knocked of their bikes and getting run over. This is my childhood right here.

Man, I used to play the crap out of this as a kid. Loved the first one too. Brings back great memories playing splitscreen with friends. I remember feeling bad the first time I knocked a cop off of his bike! :D

wow i used to play this for hours. I remember an epic crash where I hit a road sign at that crazy speed (227mph i believe it was), the highest speed with the nitrous boost...i skidded and bounced for like 500 feet before landing on top of a cow...which began to make questionable noises. Hilarious game.

This one was alright. Out of all the Road Rash games, the original is still the best to me.

When you cross the finish line and you see a rider skidding across this line with no bike! This game used to make me laugh so much I used to fall asleep laughing at memories of playing it. NO other console had this level of gameplay at the time.

Who else besides me use to always look for officer O'Rourke just to have him swing his club at at you and steal it, then knock him off his bike and laugh. I know I did!

Insanely amazing game! I have to hook up my Genesis soon to play it. Road Rash was the first game I ever played, at age 4.

One of the best Mega Drive games ever made got i loved it back in the 90s got gaming. Viper was always your rival for a few races in single player. Nothing like being in the lead to go over a hill and an oncoming car smacks you full speed and you go flying "Fiiiiiiiiiiiiire"

Molokai Express is known for Hills. Mine was Jumping with an Enemy mid air (enemy was to close. Melee distance) and I pressed the (C) key (Punch or Kick if you press down along with C) rapidly, enemy went down mid air and the iconic crash sound of the character being hurt.. Best moment of 7 year old me😂😂

One of those games like Worms and Sensible soccer that I keep coming back to, after a bad day at work it's nice to get on your bike and beat another racer with a club or chain, very therapeutic...

Brings a lot of memories

For Axel, it's just a simple "Ha!" while for Blaze it's the same scream you hear when you attack all the female enemies (such as Electra/Nora, and the female twin bosses at the end of Level 5). The other male enemies let out a deeper "Whoa..." reminiscent of Billy Bletcher.
