It's a shame they stopped with 3. They finally hit their stride, came up with game mechanics, music, and story that worked well, capitalized on the battle system, and overall did a bang-up job. I liked this game as much as I did the Battle Network ones, which is more than I can say for the first 2. I almost 100%ed it, but I couldn't find the Omega bosses. And the one I did find wiped me out.

Agreed...I played all three, 100% the first game got picture and everything after beating Andromeda (who was a PAIN! It was only thanks to the combo cards that I beat him), I think I 80-90% completed the second game and the third game I think I beat about 80% of it. Got to say though this one was the best since Geo was ACTUALLY MATURE!

Actually there is a 4th one (technically). It's called RnR: Operation Shooing Star, but it only came out in Japan, and it's pretty much a crossover remake of the order Battle Network game, and they added horrible stereo to the music.

Man I still remember the first time I played MMSF3 and encounter viruses, when I heard this theme I stunned, I kept fighting for only listening because it was too short for me.

@@kolkagaming1234 Not necessarily, but there was alot of room left for them to do more.. .So much so that it was revealed a few years ago that a 4 was in development. The storyline was going to be an older Geo who's teamed up with a direct descendant of Lan Hikari, and are both Wanted. Allegedly the story was going to be a bit more serious (i assume like the X or Zero series) but sadly we may never know because it was cancelled. There's official artwork for it and everything.

@@TurtleTitan03 yep. although ds games aren't region locked, so all you need to do is import a us copy if you're in europe. this is from 3 years ago but i only learned this recently so just in case anyone didn't know

The game is pretty rare here too in America, now a copy for either version goes for 200 dollars in any store I've seen it for sale.

Just do 4, make duo reappear along with the final darkchip and make the noise change be more reminesent of souls but with the ability to combine and change right when you get 50 percent noise, first activation moves to combo if you can draw a brother card or get to 100 percent. And unlike souls keep doing exclusive forms but all elements available. All this makes it more streamlined to combo transform but also makes it better to have bros for the free transformation. Also let there be secret ancient styles based on protoman, megaman, and Bass.exe. Rouge noise can be gained but cannot combine as usual.

they just got a really good groove going with the mechanics, I'd rather we didnt have another BN. We had seven of those games, let it go.

Well your '"suggestions" were very BN like. As a fan f the SF series I just don't want it going down that road, not that we'll be getting anything new, but we had a crossover, surely that's enough. And the randomizer I'm sure was implemented so you don't curb-stomp everyone.

The "crossover" was just a small scenario added in a port of the first BN game... which I heard did bad..

If Capcom had any smarts in them, they'd remake or port the Battle Network series to 3DS in either one collection or put BN1-3 on one game and 4-6 on another, re-add in all cut content (from the overseas versions), keep/re-add the Boktai content, and add in Star Force content, maybe add in some voice acting, graphical updates, etc., and make "Director's Cuts" of the games. And then make...I dunno, Star Force 4, X9, MM11, ZX3, and stuff that would make sense for a game company with a beloved franchise to make.

I would like 4 but I wanna see a battlenetwork grid style game implement the features of Starforce 3, giving us the balance of complexity from bn and flow from sf. Maybe bring forth Megaman.EXE Jr and Patch on their quest to become stronger than both their fathers

@NarutoLink60 Well, I checked out quite a few Gamestops when we spent Christmas in the States, but I didn't find a single copy. (I did however, manage to get myself Mega Man ZX, Final Fantasy IV, Sonic Colors, Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney.)

Everyone complains about Omega-Xis not being in Geo's Mega Buster, but he's really there. You can see the eyes on the Buster perfectly. They didn't remove him, they just made it more technologic and futuristic, and i like it

No, that's not his eyes, its the Hunter-VG trying to "mimic" him, he is in there but it doesn't feel like he is fighting along side Geo in the battles now Sure there is Beast Slap but it can't use Megadash for some damn reason and he is just used for Area Eater and that's it(and he is just briefly appearing) And he doesn't really "transform" when Geo used Finalization/Noise Changes unlike with Tribe On and Star Break.. It feels like its just Geo out there now most of the time in those battles now, in fact you can't even use Area Eater/Beast Slap against the battle with Crimson Dragon so it feels like Mega is left out

@ryder100 No, they aren't Its the freaking Hunter-VG there. Omega-Xis materializes outside of the thing and said buster is not affected due to that. As in its the Hunter-VG that's being the buster there, not Omega-Xis. Like why would it be his actual eyes while he is outside of the Hunter-VG?

@ryder100 No, thats the Hunter-VG mimicking Mega's design since it took his place as the Megabuster. Mega maybe be inside it but he's no longer the buster now. I am not fucking blind I literally played that game(albeit using well.. different methods) and watched the walkthroughs.

@ryder100 Its more than just a "redesign" there, its practically the Hunter-VG taking Omega-Xis's role as the Megabuster hence why its "redesigned" there.

@ryder100 It still took Mega's job as the megabuster. Looking at the buster now its more like just a buster instead of it being Mega being the Megabuster there. The "eyes" there is still the Hunter-VG essentially mimicking Omega-Xis, even if he's part of the Hunter-VG he's still not truly the Megabuster anymore due to the Hunter-VG took his place there.

Outta all the themes, this one just doesn't suit the feel the first two did, but it's still good enough to remember. Especially when trying to find all Noise Forms..>_>
