Even if not a sequel seeing the original characters come back as cameos or something in potential new X games would be a treat. Finding out what becomes of Massimo, Marino and Cinnamon... maybe even discovering the fate of the real Spyder. It's a shame such a charming cast has been sealed in Gacha hell.

My only childhood exposures to Megaman was a little of someone playing this game, the Megaman NT Warriors anime, and Super Smash Brothers Flash. Grew up thinking this was the standard for Megaman games. The artstyle of this is what I want one of my games to have. A cross betwen this and Custom Robo(gc). Such an amazing game. One day I'll play it.

For a year or two, I had the chapter opening jingle as my windows start up sound. It was super hype lol. I love this game

Command Mission has been on my radar for years, and I keep hoping that an official rerelease is coming. I *do* have the capability to run it on official hardware, but the only entries for the US region game that I can find I ebay (that still have a case) are a bid that already seems set to skyrocket, and a refurbished disc going for $60, where the seller insists that cracks, a peeling label, or polishing compound that they didn't take care to clean off are still well within acceptable condition if they show up. So yeah. Nah. I prefer having a disc, but I can also wait until Capcom sees fit to drop this on Steam, too.

Did you know that in the final boss with Redips you can use Marino to seal one of the super force metals and can use it as an equable item. The only character that can use it safely is X because only he can than equip enough coolers to cut down on the crazy amount of erosion that Super force metal has, but it make him a beast. I know this sounds like an old play ground rummer but it's real. Absolutely nuts that its something that you can do in the game blew my mind when me and my friend did back in the day.

Why do Mega Man games have the most obvious twist villains ever

It's a series not known for it's subtlety. From it's characters, visuals, music and gameplay it's all very high energy and bombastic and its narratives tend to reflect that. This, of course, translates to its villains as well, twist or otherwise, making them very outwardly malicious or clearly untrustworthy.

@@vocalcalibration8033 That and it's somewhat hard to hide villains because with how some games are designed, whether it's to save space, if you see an NPC with a unique design, there is a 85/15 chance that they're a villain.

MegaMan X Command Mission is my favorite MegaMan game. I think it deserves some love. I actually used the same strategy against Botos. I have the strategy guide because I am a collector of MegaMan. The official strategy guide gives a horrible strategy that does not work at all.

Your not alone lol. To be fair, I think even if I did realize this, the fact that I never saw that kind of twist in any other RPG at the time made it so obvious that you'd discount it. If something similar were done today it definitely wouldn't land but for a first time I was legitimately surprised.

I love this game but the random encounters and load times that come with them actually make it unplayable at times. I wanted to love this game and maybe i would have if i played it when it came out and not a decade later

That's a bit confusing cuz pretty much Mega Man X Command Mission is supposed to happen the same time as Mega Man Zero series, cuz I heard they have the same dates, and I thought Command Mission came after Mega Man X8, but its between Mega Man X7 and X8. Cuz I seen other videos reviewing the games and it was established I guess by fans that this game is a alternate timeline to other Mega Man spin-offs. And this is just my speculation but I think your placement is actually correct cuz it does connect to the rest of the Mega Man X Series but fans have different opinions about what's Canon and what's not canon and his information from the past sometime misinformation gets a mixed in there. Pretty much Mega Man X-X7/ X Command Mission/ X8(21XX) Mega Man Zero 1-4(22XX) Mega Man ZX -ZX Advent (2XXX- 27XX) Mega Man Legends 1 and 2(3XXX) I recently played the game again and found out that the master the creator of pretty much everything was in outer space for 3,000 years, so it might be in the I guess 30th century.??? And going by the pattern I'm just going to assume it's through 31XX.

I honestly don’t think they thought ahead. Heck X5’s ending established 3 months has passed and X is looking for Zero, but in X6 it’s 3 weeks and X found Zero and then the ending of Zero in X6 takes place at an undisclosed time. I think Command Mission is after X8 due to Axl’s A-Trans power slowing him to take on bigger forms when he couldn’t before and due to what happened to him on X8. Plus the Japanese-only Mega Man Zero Drama CDs states that canonically the Jacob Tower exists in the Zero series so the events of X8 happened. And not too long ago they released artwork of X, Zero, AND Axl fighting Omega with designs mixed of X and Zero era. It’s possible Command Mission is it’s own different timeline meaning the Zero series never happened or they decided to retcon the Zero series just being 100 years later so they can change the date if they want. Even Overwatch 2 screwed up on the timeline too with characters .
